Quartermaster
Topic starter

60.0% comp, 17 TDs, 8 INTs, 2,389 yardsThis is over a 12 game span thus far.He is averaging about 1.42 TD per game, 0.67 INT per game (or about 1.2 INTs per two games), and 199 yards per game.Based on these results this isn't bad for a rookie but this proves problematic as it doesn't show anything extraordinary either.  Rookie seasons are often misleading when it comes to QB play as there is an exponential curve where a QB improves from year 1 to year 2.  In addition, it is hard to say if Glennon is a 200 yard per game type of a QB or it is because Schiano insists on a ground and pound strategy.  Glennon came close to having a 300 yard game several times but that is something he has to reach to ease doubt about his future as a potential NFL starter heading into next season.  Reaching20 TDs on the year  would be fantastic but it doesn't seem likely unless the light comes on but it is hard to say if Schiano is keeping the offense so conservative or not.  Not to say it falls all on Schiano or Sullivan because there are situations where there are open guys.  However, pass pro or max protect might suit Glennon more or a quick passing attack spreading a defense out with the quick game.  Play action and bombs downfield sound good in theory but the NFL has changed so much for this to be realistic. Glennon has one more game to audition for his job next year and it is against a very hungry Saints team so lets see if the rookie can finish the season on a positive note.

Yeah a WCO or a spread style attack.  That way you maximize his strengths ( eg. short game)  but also minimize his weakness (eg pocket awareness).

I don't think Glennon is ever going to light up the score board. I wouldn't mind seeing him get to play behind an NFL caliber offensive line for once though. Especially considering there are much bigger needs on this team, and this quarterback class is less than stellar.

It depends which QB's declare.I like Manziel, Marriota, and Bortles.  I am not so sure about Carr and Bridgewater is pretty much a lock for the top three picks if he comes out.If a lot of guys don't declare you are probably better off rolling with Glennon because the draft QB class next year will be loaded.

Its really hard to evaluate him IMO.  He has had his moments.  And that wacky scheme he is in doesn't help.

There you go putting things into perspective again.JDud won't take kindly to this. He wants the torches and the pitchforks brought out  , and he wants a cute QB brought in immediately. Preferably tall dark and handsome like Mariota.

I think Bortles really needs another year to polish his game. Same for Mariota. Manziel and Bridgewater are the only ones I would feel comfortable drafting, but I think both are far from a guarantee.
