Mike Smith is about to get a whole lot smarter.

Smith’s first year here in 2016 he was much loved by Buc fans, so much that we worried that another team would give him a HC offer and the Glazers made him a very well paid DC to keep him. Last year Smith apparently completely forgot how to coach football and totally sucked. This year with newly talented DL and DB players I think he magically rises from the ashes like the Phoenix and is once again a great DC in demand as a HC. Better players tend to make their coaches look much smarter. Don’t worry though as the new DL coach can step in as DC if Smith leaves. The glass is more that half full, thanks to that GM guy.
