QB: Has to read progressions quickly and know the check down or drag route on every play. A vertical styled offense that forces the QB to make quick decisions with the football.
RB: Must have good hands and pass pro to play in this offense. No exceptions. Must make one cut and go given that there is a lot of single back sets. You don't see the field as a RB if you dance behind the line of scrimmage.
TE: Have to be able to block and pass catch as needed. You can pencil in OJ Howard as the starter right about now.
OL: Emphasis on penalty free football and technique and not so much on talent. That is actually a departure from past approaches where the Bucs emphasized on putting the most talented five guys out there on game days. For example, Cappa and Benonch may have more talent upside than Liedtke. But Liedtke may end up being better than either one because he may end up being more consistent.
DL: Gap integrity is a must and must hustle to the ball. DL that loaf and do not rack up tackles or assisted tackles is a big no no.
Edge: Bowles and Arians have no problem using young, inexperienced edge rushers or even old vets like Abraham and Freeney signed off the street. Look for the Bucs to sign some veteran edge rushers if the current edge rushers on the roster don't show enough at the mini camp in June.
LB's: Have to fly to the ball, blitz and cover.
Boundary CB"s: They are put on an island the majority of the time and must be mentally and physically strong.
Nickel CB: Must be able to avoid being washed out and make tackles against the run.
Safties: Need to be able to play near LoS or even play centerfield in deep halves.
Special teams return specialists: Need to have juice to flip field position.
