Maybe Tet makes us better. His college tape against some strong competition, makes him very intriguing, and you can’t help but make comparisons to Mike’s game, even the basketball background…but he’s not Mike Evans.
And we kinda need that number one pick to start this season.
If someone drops that's different. Hopefully a bunch of QBs go too early.
Sean Tucker's personal cock holster mentioned a fun scenario in another thread, where the Giants passed on Sanders, but offered to trade up to #19 if were still there (he won't be).
In his scenario, the Giants give us their 2026 first rounder.
Ran it through PFF (had to give them a 2027 2nd to get to happen, but besides the point), and came out with this:
R2 - Amos (CB)
R2 - Schwesinger (LB)
R3 - Roberts (EDGE)
R4 - Dotson (CB)
R5 - Robinson (DL)
R7 - Slater (OG)
This would be a great haul, plus we'd have 2 picks in the 1st round next year.
And, with what will most likely be a new coach/regime coming in, that would be a helluva selling point.
And another mock cause I cant get enough lol. Trade with kc for 31 and 63 for 19 and 2026 6th rnder. Yes I like def line. Can trade logan hall if you get good value
IMO we're getting well out of the Licht box. He's going to want to know who's going to be there where he's trading to. That means probably a trade down of 3 to 6 picks at most for a first round trade. And this is a win now team. There is no way they'll downgrade for a future pick. Here's a scenario. Giants are reportedly conflicted internally about Sanders. Let's say the take Carter at 3. Pittsburgh at 21 is considered the floor for Sanders. I would love to go from 19 to 34 and pick up the Giants 2026 #1.
For example, using the trade chart, If the Bucs trade down three picks, they can basically upgrade the 4th round pick into a 3rd rounder. If they trade down six picks with Houston they can upgrade the 3rd round pick into a late 2nd. I think this is the type of deal we'll see. There's no point in a whole boatload of rookies or future picks. But upgrading a pick or picks will give the Bucs another player with more potential to contribute this year and take over a starting position eventually. To be realistic about what Licht is trying to do I think it's best to keep it in the road and envision a small to medium trade down when you are talking about Round 1.
If someone drops that's different. Hopefully a bunch of QBs go too early.

Hearing that a national media favorite for us at #19 didn’t have a glowing physical.
Big name might slide to Day 2 next week.
Not sexy, but covers needs with good/great value. I would not hate this… noted the simulations offer a lot of trade scenarios that might not come to pass - but it’s a 50/50. Certainly shows that there is value available where we pick.If someone drops that's different. Hopefully a bunch of QBs go too early.

Looking at it as a whole, we’re grabbing someone who will compete for a starting spot at LB, and another at CB (while adding depth at said position).
Obviously, the biggest factor is having multiple 1st round picks next year.
And, again, chances are we move on with a new HC; so it would be an additional selling point.
You were a bit cryptic, have to assume you’re referencing Jihaad Campbell, as I have heard several in national media talk about draft scenarios - and specifically the torn labrum causing him to possibly slide?Hearing that a national media favorite for us at #19 didn’t have a glowing physical.

Could only work to our benefit.
Like your draft scenario the more I think about it. I could offer different names, but you covered all the critical positional needs with your picks and would make the defense stronger while continuing to maintain both trenches.
Although, I keep sliding in a 9 route guy to maximize/add something to the offense to get a more reliable downfield target. For me, the Trey Palmer experiment has failed.

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE, Boston College
Tampa needs someone to get after the quarterback and Todd Bowles would be happy to land someone like Ezeiruaku with this pick. Bowles is not one to be shy when it comes to sending the blitz, but he doesn't want to be forced into doing that just to generate some pressure. The Buccaneers' edge rusher remodel gets a big boost with a Boston College prospect that Gemini liked for his fit, explosiveness and pass-rushing upside.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Prospect to target: ED Donovan Ezeiruaku, Boston College
The Buccaneers struggled to convert pressures into sacks in 2024, ranking 29th in sacks off the edge (15), which led to the addition of Haason Reddick in free agency. But with questions lingering after his holdout and dip in performance, Tampa could look for a more reliable long-term option. Enter Ezeiruaku — a consistent, explosive edge rusher who fits Todd Bowles’ 3-4 scheme and earned a 90.7 PFF pass-rush grade on true pass sets.

PROJECTED TRADE WITH GREEN BAY PACKERS
The Buccaneers could use Stewart as a 5-technique because of his size and strength at the point of attack, potentially setting him up to replace Logan Hall if the veteran departs as a free agent in 2026. Stewart will also stand up at times because of his athleticism, making him a great fit in Tampa Bay's scheme
That's a reasonable trade back for the Bucs- I like it. The Bucs move down four spots and upgrade a 5th to a 3rd. Stewart doesn't have the sack production so I'm not sure about the pick.NFL.com with the trade back to 23

But looking at the trade down. If you presume these factors....
1) Licht has never moved down more than six spots in the first round because he wants to know who's going to be there.
2) Pit and Min are already short on draft picks and won't want to pay the price to move up.
3) Moving down one spot with Denver won't pick up enough juice to move up into Day 2 on the back end. You could swap out a 5th for a 4th at best.
So with those parameters the logical trade down partners are LAC, GB and HOU.
the default prediction (maybe the "little effort put in" prediction) seems to be Jihad Campbell.
almost like we need ILBs. :-)
