I had to step away for a minute, and the darn thing timed out on me, but here was the start of my first draft. Definitely not the most realistic the trade offers you get and who goes where. I did this with a realistic approach as if I were the GM in real life. I would try and grab Alex Mack and other OL in FA and see about restructuring the contracts of Davin, Penn and Nicks. And then I use the draft to help fill the other positions that we need like TE, slot WR, speed back, DE, depth CB, DT, LB...Your Picks:Round 1 Pick 18 (NYJ): Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina (A)Round 2 Pick 6: Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh (B-)Round 2 Pick 8 (MINN): Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon State (B)Round 2 Pick 17 (NYJ): Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Brigham Young (A-)Round 3 Pick 5 (NYJ): Shilique Calhoun, DE, Michigan State (A-)Round 3 Pick 16 (NYJ): Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Eastern Illinois (A)Round 4 Pick 4: Dee Ford, OLB, Auburn (B+)Round 5 Pick 3: Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska (B)Round 7 Pick 26 (S.F.): De'Anthony Thomas, RB, Oregon (A-)Round 7 Pick 27 (S.F.): Kareem Martin, DE, North Carolina (B-)Round 7 Pick 28 (S.F.): Chad Abram, FB, Florida State (B)

Man, I've done this simulation a few times and anything under 3500 is not a good score. You can do better. The low grades mean that you're not taking the best player available or your're drafting guys that are not viewed as a need compared to other positions. I realize this simulation has a ton of flaws but its based on player value and trade values and I think its pretty cool. Great way to pass the time on backshift LOL

I think that looking at all these drafts that its pretty evident that if we trade down a few times throughout the draft we can get some good players. The so called experts say its a very deep draft because of all the underclassman coming out at once so I think that rather than trade up for one great player we should try to accumulate as many picks as possible. Obviously this mock game gives some pretty unrealistic trade options but its still a fun exercise to show that some good players will have to be available in rounds 2-5 because there are a lot of good players available. My challenge still stands for the original post. Can anyone beat 4451?
