Manipulating reality so my favorite team gets the players I like. As everyone does.1st. Winston, Jameis. QB, Florida State.Enough has been said about this pick.Trade back in the 2nd to pick up a 4th and 6th.2a. Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&MA bowl game injury and up and down senior year will cause what once was considered the #1 OT to drop. Prototypical build/athleticism. A year or two refining pass pro technique on the right side and you'll have your LT for the next decade.SD whiffs on a trade up for Mariota, trades Rivers and desperately throws a 2nd rounder at Licht for Glennon on draft day. As I've said before, if a broken Bradford was worth a mid-1st to the Browns, then Glennon could be worth a 2nd to a desperate QB-less Chargers.2b. Tyler Lockett, WR, Kansas State.A dynamic receiver/returner who could start in the slot and play outside as a #2 receiver in a few years when Jackson is gone. An Antonio Brown clone. Smooth route runner and great YAC player.3. Trey Flowers, DE, Arkansas. An explosive, powerful edge setter. Best run defending end in the class and a way underrated passrusher. A speed to power rusher and hands like hammers, he can shed and pursue with the best of them. Got the pressures, just needs to learn to finish.4a. Adrian Amos, S, Penn State.A true Free with some size. Capable of playing single high with his range and field awareness. Extensive experience in the a lot as well. Can match up with the now in vogue 'big slot' (large wide outs lining in the slot, split out TEs, H-backs, etc). Not the most physical in the run game, but securing the top of defense takes priority.4b. Mitch Morse, OG, Missouri.A miscast OT for Mizzou, his future is at the guard position. A mean mothertoucher with sound technique and gritty enough to sustain in the run game. Should compete and probably start right away.Doug Martin is traded for a 5th.5a. Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas. An undersized corner that can't stick in hip pocket in man. Why draft this loser? He's tough as hell in the slot, shedding receivers and chopping down backs or coming off of the edge on blitzes. Extremely instinctive in zone. He is meant to be T2 Nickel. Moore is a good player but you can never have too many good corners.5b. Zach Zenner, RB, South Dakota StateTough FCS one cut runner with decent speed. Can carry the load and pass protect. Gets yards after contact. And then yards after more contact. Arm tackles are futile. Will be effective in a rotation.6a. Greg Mancz, C, ToledoChronic shoulder issues, playing against MAC DLs, and his lack of power drops a true technician at the position down this far. Give him a year or two in the weight room and he may develop into a starting center or guard. At the very least a talented swing depth player.6b. Deandre Smelter, WR, Georgia TechWaller gets all of the attention for being enormous but I believe Smelter is the more talented of the two GT receivers. Obviously he wasn't asked to run routes as often as other receivers but he's athletic and runs smoother routes than he should and can win contested balls. Also he's a monster blocker.7a. Zach Vigil, LB, Utah StateA good all-around backer who shines particularly in coverage. Above average athlete who can develop into a very solid backup mike and core special teamer.Tonga Takai, DT, Montana. For no other reason than his name.
