Is Goedeke on IR? If so, for how long? He must be because he’s never mentioned in any reports.
have a bad feeling about this one. Same as McMillam. Doubt we see either of them again this season.
You could almost say the same about Godwin and Irving. Ronde Barber saying he couldnt get a straight answer on either is concerning.
Hope to be wrong, obviously
from what I heard they could but I wouldn’t rush them back. if noone else gets injured we will be really strong after the bye and our schedule gets much easier in last third of the season
I don’t get this premise of rushing people back. Either they’re cleared to play or they’re not. Obviously none of us want our players to get injured again, but every time happens people look in the rear view mirror and say we rushed them back.
Players can get "cleared to play" but that doesn't necessarily mean they are 100% healthy. You'll hear guys say that they would play if it was a playoff game, meaning they can play but they aren't 100% healed from whatever injury they have. You can definitely rush guys back from injuries, especially hamstring injuries.
Mike’s hamstrings will never be 100%.

You may be right, which is another reason to be cautious.
if Mike wants 1,000 yards, he better play
he's got 140 yards through 6 games
Just 11 games are left which means he needs to average 78 yards per game
He has averaged 47 yards per game this year
Last year, he averaged 72 yards per game
He had 9 games where he had less than 78 yards per game
He had just 2 games where he had more than 100 yards in a game
We all hope that one hamstring injury means hes good for this year, but we will never know there. If he wants history, im afraid he's running out of time.
Mike’s hamstring haven’t been right since he tore it in college. I think it’s always been a struggle for him, but increased as he’s gotten older. I think I remember a story from a few years ago saying he basically played a season on one leg.from what I heard they could but I wouldn’t rush them back. if noone else gets injured we will be really strong after the bye and our schedule gets much easier in last third of the season

I do think he will be limited, and I’m not sure how bad an injury it was this time (seems like it was reported as “better than first thought”), but Mike’s presence on the field will attract a lot of attention. He could have little impact, or he could have a great game.

I do not think he will go for another 1000 yards. wins are more important anyway

Not sure the history is that big a deal. Most consecutive by 1? Even tying Rice (who, I think has 14 1000 yd seasons) at consecutive is awesome and HOF worthy.
If he comes back against the Lions they are probably bracketing him. Do we know he is playing? I thought he was only running at practice today?
U think for a player who many believe will retire after this season, I think it’s very present in his mind. It becomes about legacy when you contemplate the end of your career / but it’s not just about acquiring personal accolades to mark your impact on the game - it’s also always been about contributing to making the team better, and producing more wins.if Mike wants 1,000 yards, he better play

Mike’s referenced how much more significant it was for him to have production during wining seasons - and while the team isn’t overtly talking about it - they have a feeling that they are working on something that could be special.
So I think both things - the winning and the record - can be true.
Mikes already got a superbowl.
while they all want to win, his legacy is more telling
will people remember that mikes got 2 super bowls or that he is the all time leader for 1,000 yard streaks and never had a season otherwise
only natural my dudes.
Mike will be a focal point if he plays. Will he play on a snap count? I imagine so. 50-60% of plays?

Hes a big help just being on the field. If he's himself, a huge help.
I feel the time he's lost so far this season weighs on what he wants. IMHO, I think Mike would trade another 1,000 yard season for another ring.

i think Mike prefers 1,000 yard season personally but honestly we will never know the right answer.
i dont think it's a this or that....likely if he performs well, that gives us a good chance to win a ring too
and Mike would never admit this to public....right "it's all about winning"
but you saw it for yourself in Saints game when Bucky scored that go ahead TD, Mike looked like he had to put his dog down on Christmas morning.
it's only natural. Mike is the man. You can not ask for a more high class unselfish superstar but make no mistake, he can be alone at the top with the record or he can be just another WR with 2 superbowls - Michael Irvin, Julian Edlemen, Rod Smith, Hines Ward, etc.
Well, being the all time 1000 yard receiver, from beginning to end, AND 2 Super Bowls, now that would take legacy to another level…Mikes already got a superbowl.

My guess is he’s on a snap count.
