The Bucs never said anything of substance following Egbuka MRI.
This has been the Bucs MO for a while. It really stood out with their early discussion of Godwin's injury that somewhere along the line they made a choice to say next to nothing about injuries.
it’s super annoying. The confusing part to me is they pick and choose which players they want to be honest about. When they give zero info on players out for extended periods of time, Bucky, Goedeke and Gowin, I always start to think of how they handled the Jensen injury.

Yes it is annoying. I am only guessing but somewhere along the line they must have decided to most let their mandatory NFL injury reporting system do the talking. Not sure if that is competitive issue or HIPPa lol
We just found out this week that McMillan has broken bones in his neck. This after they initially told us it was a sprained neck.
would anyone be surprised if guys like Goedeke, Bucky, and Godwin all had much worse injuries than were being lead to believe?
No chance.
Bowles, as a HC, has proven time and time again to:
- Not put players in unnecessary situations that could lead to severe injuries
DH, is this why you said "specifically?" Obviously sarcasm, but a blanket state that Bowles puts players in unnecessary situations that could leave to severe injuries and in reponse to a list oif players that included McMillan.
Anyway, you did not specifically state that Bowles was to blame for McMillan, but obviously he's one of the "players"

Don't know if you intentionally did or not, but you forgot to quote the rest of it:
Bowles, as a HC, has proven time and time again to:
- Not put players in unnecessary situations that could lead to severe injuries
- Be transparent in severity of injuries
- Be extremely honest, forthcoming, and accurate in player’s timelines for return
This was directly in a reply mentioning McMillan's injury.
And, you failed to mention that the post before this was one from me calling out Bowles for essentially calling a "neck strain" and "bone fracture" the same thing.
The comment about putting players in unnecessary situations was an obvious reference to Godwin/Evans/Baker from last year.
At no point have I ever blamed Todd for Jalen's injury. Otherwise, I would've been just as vocal as the others.
You tried to jam a square peg into a round hole with this one. You know it. I know it.
So, respectfully, we'll move along.

HIPPA doesn’t apply the same to the NFL, they have an injury report. These guys don’t work for an accounting firm down the street. I think the Bucs feel it gives them a competitive advantage. I do wonder they if they’re flirting with disaster on the lack of disclosure. Ravens were just fined for this recently and threatened with draft picks. I wouldn’t be surprised if the NFL is paying attention to how they handle things. The difference between a neck strain and broken vertebrae is significant, and it appears that that Bucs are trying to hide injury information.
Ravens were just fined for this recently and threatened with draft picks.
I didn't know that about the Ravens but looking at it now maybe it undercuts the idea that the Bucs odd reporting is for competitive advantage?
The Ravens misidentified info about Jackson's practice participation and the suggestion was that they forced the opponent to prepare for Jackson even though he was going to be out.
if you think of McMillan he has been definitively out the whole time. The misleading part is how long he might be out because of sprain v fracture. But, never any suggestion to a competitor that he might be in for a given game (the Lamar Jackson issue)
Agree Bucs not covered entity for HIPPA I was thinking of the medical staff behind the Bucs but I think players even sign privacy waivers.
weird
My guess would be some boring reason like an internal policy change, but who knows? I wonder if the Bucs would say the difference with McMillan is just timing? Sprain when asked early on, but not asked again until it was know to be a fracture? That seems unlikely lol
