Because most of his QB's failed that means he can't call an offense? That makes zero sense. Name a Chip Kelly QB that succeeded in the NFL.
This whole Tedford thing stinks of Lovie Smith, through intermediaries, doling out demands to any future employer. People forget Tedford QB - while prolific in college - were looked down upon after so many busts.
You mean like Aaron Rodgers ??
Hopefully Tedford will bring a fast paced spread O here. I think Glennon would be okay in that. Though its likely Lovie drafts his own QB.
I'm not sold on Tedford, but I have to be honest, up until today all my knowledge of the guy could be summed up with the words "don't draft one of his QBs"

He is an out of left field guy but at least he's not a Ron Turner type guy that Lovie is gonna drag along. Whatever Tedford might be the pros his name being dropped at least shows Lovie's heart is in the right place in terms of reforming.
Do the math. Lots of fail in the NFL. Rodgers being the exception. Dilfer was a game manager with an incredible defense.I am not saying he would be a bad OC...tedford has been talked about on this board for years.
Do the math. There are 32 NFL teams. 32 starting NFL QBs. The good ones play for 15 years. There are 120 or so Division I schools. Each school turns over a QB roughly every 3 years. That means there are around 600 former Division I QBs who are within the right age range to be playing in the NFL. And you think this one guy who was a coach at a school which was not a recruiting powerhouse should have put more than one really good QB into the league?
2 have won Super Bowls. Another played 10 years and has a ring as a back up. Name me one other college coach that can claim that.
Take a look at how many qbs are drafted every year....So is it the qb or the offense that tedford puts on the field? (Rhetorical) personally I hope its the latter.Point is he has a history of making QBs successful at one level who are I'll prepared for the next on most accounts. Is that his preparation, the offense scheme or the qb? My guess would be its the qb every time when you're at the NFL level.
Since when is making mediocre QB's look like 1st round talent a bad thing? If anything, that should be a plus for the system he'd be installing here.

means he'll have Glennon looking like Peyton Manning.

Maybe not that good, but that's kinda my point. Chip Kelly never put a decent QB in the NFL, yet has Nick Foles looking legit. Tedford may not have put a ton of "franchise" QB's in the NFL, but the fact that so many that he's coached have looked good enough under him despite their flaws to be high draft picks should be a testament to how good a coach he is, not how bad a coach he is. He has no control over what they do when they don't play for him anymore.
hmmm.....what happened to his offense during 2010-2012 which led to his firing? Was it program-based that he didn't get the caliber players to succeed in his system? And if so - why did he not adjust the system to match the player strenghts?thats my thing regardless of who comes in, they need to be able to adjust their system to match the players strength, and obviously effective management and playcalling come game day. we can't have another coach dead set in their ways.
I don't think I have seen anyone say he is a bad coach...
This whole Tedford thing stinks of Lovie Smith, through intermediaries, doling out demands to any future employer. I don't get this argument. So Tedford is responsible for coaching these kids up so well that they were looked at as first round prospects around the league. Then the teams that drafted them couldn't coach them as well as Tedford and they failed to succeed? How is this a bad thing?

Sorry, didn't see this. Pretty much exactly the way I feel.
