they seem to have moved him outside to reduce the physical toll the slot take but man is he missed in that role

This is one problem with Canales offense
We ran a screen to Edmonds and an end around with thompkins two extra touches that could have went to Godwin.
Reward him with the ball and get him in those Yac situations he’s better than thompkins because he runs like Deebo.

Godwin is more productive in the slot but it is tough to do for a long period of time as it takes a toll on his body. That is why they are playing Godwin more on the boundary to extend his career. With that said I think Palmer has ascended enough as a NFL caliber player that they can kick Godwin inside while Palmer is on the boundary.

he is getting targeted but NOT in his slot role so he's not as big a part of the offense
