There were tons of things that happened in the game (both offensively and defensively) that is going to be talked about as usual, over time. All of us watched the game and develop our own opinions from it.
My take is that Koetter is NOT head coach material. He has basically been out coached every game that I have seen him coach, even when we win. My Biggest example:
Today vs. the Lions 4th quarter, score tied 21-21, and about 3:40 to go. We have the ball, and a chance to win this game big time.
Now Peyton Barber had just ran over the Lions D down to the 3 yard line on our previous possession which resulted in a Winston to Wester TD to tie the score. On that drive Peyton was BOSS and they couldn't stop him.
Getting back to our possession with 3:40 in the 4th...entering the game, CHARLES SIMS! Are you freakin' kidding me? I lost it right there and Koetter even gave him a handoff. Hey, unless Peyton Barber is injured and can't walk, he is in the game for me! The screens which worked so well all game was non existent on that drive. I believe we went 3 and out and Lions got the ball and scored the winning FG.
How many times has Koetter given the ball back to a team this year, when the clock should have been salted away, AND the other team scores? How many time has Koetter abandoned the plays that work? He has NO feel for the game and I am tired of him. Get him and Licht out of here now! If we waste another year on this clown, we will pay for it for years to come!
