....happened on this date in 2003. It was my 60th birthday and Ronde Barber and JJ gave me my most memorable present of , again, all time. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I now live in fleagle land and have many friends who are fans of the team. Every now and then I like to remind them of that last game in their stadium and their first game in the new one. SB XXXVII is absolutely the best, but that NFCC game will always be special to me.
Happy birthday!

Yea that was a great day. Might have even been better than the SB. I was more confident about winning the SB than I was about winning that game.
Probably the single greatest Bucs game ever. When Alstott scored a touchdown I knew that day would be different. Two of the biggest plays in Bucs history in that game with JJ and Ronde.
Happy Birthday, Sparky! Yeah, that was the game (and opponent) that had been our nemesis for too long. I think every Buc fan KNEW we would win the Super Bowl after that! And Jeff Tedford's guy, Michael Pittman, made sure it happened...
winning that game was such a shocker the following week seemed so surreal.
Hopefully Lovie can get the Bucs back to the playoffs again. Thanks guys.

It was hard to focus on the fact that there was another game. THAT felt like a Super Bowl and when I want to smile I still re-watch that game not the Super Bowl.
Agreed on all points about the game, and happy birthday m8.

I just remember being on Cloud 9 after the NFC Championship win. Couldn't stop smiling for a month straight.
It's odd that, for a lot of people, the SB was like an afterthought. The NFCC was somehow more important.

Eagles had become such a bête noir to our team over the previous seasons. That team, those fans, our cold weather record...so many things to slay in one game...and then to come out and give up the huge return and easy touchdown meant that most fans hit a low, LOOOOOOOOOOOW point before the massive rebound. If you are ever sad, get out your DVD of the season, fast forward to Rondes INT and then slo mo it and focus on the sad, broken expressions on those miserable trolls that pass as fans in Philly in the background and watch the smile break across your face. Cheers me up every time.
there was only one week between the NFCCG and the Super Bowl that year for some reason. went by too quickly to really sink in.
HBD!
