Jason Licht said that he would not trade Desean Jackson away because he is key to our plan on making it to the playoffs. It is also clear that the Buccaneers are in a win now mode and they want to contend, want being the key word. Team who are contending for a deep playoff run made moves today, moves that wild better their roster now and help them win a super bowl. Texans, Redskins, Eagles, Rams, Saintsare all teams that want to win now and have a good enough record and team to make the playoffs. So their GMs made the move to only improve their team more by adding key players to help them make a deep playoff run.
If we claim to be in a win now mode why are we not making the necessary moves to upgrade this roster. We have so much depth at WR and Desean does not want to be here, get rid of him and get something valuable back, the Jameis era is over so trade him for the slightest bit of value.
Have you all seen what the players today are going for? Mid-Round draft picks, MID-ROUND DRAFT PICKS. The way Licht has picked even in the 2nd round I’d be willing to give up such a high pick for someone who can come in and help this defense or right guard position NOW. It really just blows my mind that we didn’t even make one move at all, this team is a secondary, right guard, and QB away from being playoff bound. But we didn’t want to fill any of those holes. I am extremely heated and can not wait for the monday to come for the Buccaneers to clean that mf house.
