I have a gut feeling the team puts drafting a DL higher as a priority as most think. So, Newton and Fiske are in play because Hall has been a disappointment so far.
Trotter would be competing with Britt as Dennis is the backup to LVD. But when LVD moves on having Dennis and Trotter/Britt would be a nice LB group to move forward with.
Theo Johnson is the best value pick because he can immediately be part of the new Coen 11 personnel offense. Between Johnson or Durham the Bucs should have a TE that can attack the seem better to open things up underneath.
I'd prefer JPJ over Newton. Both are very good players and should be playing for a long time but we desperately need some day 1 plug n play help. We haven't had a good run game in god knows how long. That literally needs to be the biggest priority if im Licht and Bowles. Again, Newton is a good player and would not mind him after that selection we'd need to invest into a plug n play day starter.

SR seems to agree
so i did this and my first 3 rounds were
Jer'Zhan Newton, Marshawn Kneeland, Jeremiah Trotter JR and Marshawn Lloyd
hit defensive line, edge, inside linebacker, and running back

Minus the Lloyd pick, I’d be down with this.
SR says Kneeland won't be around for our 2nd round pick.so i did this and my first 3 rounds were

seems like the Bucs are in a great spot because they have lots of options
I need a center is all I want from this draft, someone who can keep that pocket clean

They do have options.
My biggest fear though, is that they reach on Kneeland at #26.
I would also rather the Bucs draft a great DT than reach on an EDGE.
But I don’t think they will.
Doesn’t seem to be as many mocks as years past. Here’s mine.
1 - chop Robinson. I don’t love the stat line but banking on the second coming of parsons. Also thinking jpj and latu will be gone.
2 - Zach Frazier. We get our C. Hainsey and the others can fight for LG.
3a - khyree Jackson. He seems to be falling. Maybe I shouldn’t include him! But he’s a rangy CB which we seem to like.
3b - Jeremiah trotter. Or any LB that knows how to play the game. No projects at LB.
4 - tip reiman. I’d love Ben Sinnott but figured he’s gone and we could use an athletic blocker to pair with Otton.
Newton's film is LAZY
RD1 - Jer'Zhan Newton (DL)
Ran this 4 times and he was available in 3 of them. So, I think there's a chance he falls to here. I'm running up to the podium with this pick. Easily BPA and that's with JPJ on the board. Shows he can move anywhere along the line and be effective. Absolutely explosive for his size. Him, Cancey, and Vea would be an absolute nightmare (and he'd eventually be the heir to Vita). Opposing lines would have to pick their poison with those 3 as a front.
I'm not familiar enough with Newton to say if I like him or not, but the team shouldn't steer away from DT simply because of Vea and Kancey. Vea only plays a little over half the defensive snaps. That's not good for a guy that most around here believe to be in the top of his position. Kancey looked pretty legit as a rookie. Hopefully he improves upon that and stays on the field longer as well.
I did a 3-round using their board and got:
1. JPJ - C - Oregon
2. J. Sanders - TE - Texas
3. B. Trice - DE - Wash
4. J. Trotter - LB - Clemson
I wanted to like Sanders but it seems like he's a walking cluster****.
