Licht/Koetter have to win this year to save their jobs, IMO, the short-term needs in order of priority are:
2018
CB1
RB
OG
SS

2019
CB2
OT
DT/DE
WR3

2020
DE/DT
DE
LB

We’re razor thin at critical areas like OT that could derail everything but are not an “immediate” need. I think the draft that gets us closest to winning this year by filling needs and not expecting us to find starters later than round 3 is:

1a. Swap picks with Cardinals for RB Johnson- in 2019, we could pay him DJax’s money. I’d throw in a 2019 3rd round pick if they needed a better deal... as they probably would.
1b. Best CB on board, I.e. Alexander- I think there will be a run on CBs in the bottom half of first... get the preferred guy as opposed to the leftover.
2. Best guard on board... use 2nd and 4th to trade up to pats at 31 if Hernandez or Wynn was there.
4-7: target an OT prospect and high risk/reward CBs and DEs hoping to find a gem.
Post draft: sign Reid or other FA safety and dump/reduce Sweezy if cap needed.

I see no realistic way to obtain immediate starters at 4 positions without some type of trade down/ FA pick up since owners should prohibit trading our first rounder next year. I could live with our current SS but an upgrade would be beneficial.
