- Always good to see Bucs football is back.
- Bucky has the IT factor. He has vision, patience, and explosion. Has a better feel running between tackles than White. But I’m excited to have both of them.
- Trask played like a backup. Had some good. Had some bad. Should have had two ints in the first half.
- Josh Hayes should never play corner. And he’s not very good at his natural position, safety.
- I like Issac. Meriweather has grown even more after a good rookie season.
- it’s always so good to see that a running system helps the line and running back play. I like what the overall feel on offense looked like.
- Logan Hall is still below average.
- our OLB depth is just as bad as the starters.
- finally, I’m excited about our offensive potential. We’ve got the players and the system.
- oh, and our punter is turning into a joke the last year and a half. One of 5 punts are 60+ yard bombs. The other 4 are horrible.

Bowles was pretty direct about RBs hitting the hole rather than tap dancing like last season.
eager to see White play
Camarda still a top 15 if not 10 punter imho.
was he worth a fourth round pick? Nah. Especially in a deep punter class that year.
not giving up on him yet though. We will see this year.
We certainly missed yaya. Expecting a big year from him. He should be ready week 1, hopefully!
Yes I too want to see what White can do. There has to be a hole to hit. It doesn't matter if you are tap dancing or not. If there's no hole then there isn't much you can do. I don't know if it was an improved offensive line, better plays, or what but there were some nice holes to run through on Saturday.Has a better feel running between tackles than White

Have to see a lot more out of the run game and in real games before we can really say but they’re off to a good start. I cannot see the replays yet but wasn't the Bucky TD run a pretty basic mid zone? It looked like it and it looked like it succeeded because our new C and the G next to him destroyed their guys So maybe there is one sign of an improved line.
I'm going to preface my post stating I did not watch every play, but I was impressed with the lack of offensive penalties. Since we are running a new offense with a new OC, and we played a lot of 2nd and 3rd teamers, we showed a lot of discipline playing away from home. Hat tip to the coaches.

You stole my reply, agree 100%. They were tap dancing because the holes weren't opening. This season's o-line will be better and open holes for the RBs.

Baldinger agrees
@kermit56 - great point with the lack of offensive penalties. They definitely played with discipline. I love that.
@debucsown - I’m not giving up on him yet. But with today’s punters, consistency is most important. They all have pretty good legs. His shows up every once in a while. He’s not near being one of the best at pinning punts inside the 10 yard line.
Hainsey crediting the coaching and the scheme
“This offseason, this [training] camp, and this preseason – one game – where you’ve seen how the scheme that Liam [Coen] has brought, the coaching we’ve got with Coach [Kevin] Carberry, how everything has come together, and you can see us moving in the right direction.”

Agreed. Let's see if they can do it again. So hard to say in preseason but I think the Jags crushed the Chiefs
The Bucs offense obviously has talent at the skill positions. But if the OL is in synch and they fire up of fthe ball looking downfield to block someone beyond the LOS that is a huge win for this team. This team needs an offense that can take over games sometimes to help the defense make opposing offenses one dimensional.
I’m getting the feeling that our team will go as far as our offense can take us this year.

I agree.
The defense while will be good I am not sure if they can be dominating enough. The platoon at edge rush with Ramirez coming on with Watts, Nelson, Braswell, Diaby and JTS will be okay but not good enough. Diaby can take the next step and the backend will be better at safety with Whitehead back. Boundary CB depth is pretty good with Isaac and Hall at the backup boundary CBs and Hayes as the fifth/ST gunner.
But the offense really has to take huge strides this upcoming season to really take over some games this year with pass and run to really help the defense tee off on offenses. The Falcons and Panthers are going to run a lot of running plays and dink and dunk on offense even if the Bucs defense shuts down the running games. But to force them out of dink and dunk WCO passing attack the Bucs offense has to create large leads to force opposing offenses to panic.
