Smith is a real head case. Ask Vincent what he thinks of AJ Smith. They were constantly at war. Vincent held out a couple times because Smith refused to pay him. It got ugly. Smith told Vincent if he didn't report to camp he would put him on the Roster Exempt List. Which meant Vincent would have to sit out 3 games after they agreed on a new contract. They ended up tagging him, instead a long term deal. Smith is [was] a guy who would screw a player over any chance he could. Not exactly a good quality to have, when you are a NFL GM.

If you can go back and recall, the President/owner Spanos fired both the HC and GM.
