Well that's a load of BS . Fans are indifferent to how the uniforms look ? Yeah right , lol
No offense but yeah. I have never other than at these sort of reveals heard fans talking about the uniform. Why don't you go dig up all the threads about the old uniforms between the "reveal" and now and see what an issue or concern it was.
"Indifferent" may not be quite the right word, but I am inclined to agree that it'll be a far smaller deal come preseason. It only as big of a deal as it is now because they're new and because it's early March (and there's no *actual* football going on).
Are you kidding ? Jdud has been photoshopping new designs since time immemorial.People were talking about their ideas for a uni change long before it was officially announced last month. Most fans want to look cool when they rock their teams gear....they absolutely are not indifferent.
Hell, you could probably do a re-vote in a month and it would be a lot closer. There is probably a decent number of people who voted in that after simply seeing the crappy DM early shot. You can also figure that there will be a certain % of the "hate them" crowd who will make a 180° switch. The "hate them" crowd will probably continue to dwindle when football actually starts. Right now though, there is nothing going on and something like this becomes an instant hot topic. My guess would be that in a few years, most of people will fall into the like/love them, then the second largest group will be ones who feel "meh" about them, and then the smaller group will probably be the "hate them".
The bigger issue is that over the long run no one cares. Yes they are ugly....so what. It is less acceptance than indifference to what they are wearing on the field once they start playing games.
http://www.pellegrinoandassociates.com/top-five-revenue-sources-that-drive-value-for-the-nfl/ may we all be blessed some day with customers that are this "indifferent." People don't purchase merchandise because they are "indifferent." Again, most fans are NOT like the people on these boards, they are NOT hard core, knowledgeable fans more focused on the football. Most fans are far from indifferent to branding. They don't dissect it like people here, but it is important to them, as evidence by the merchandise sales.
I hope this means we'll have throwback games with the 1997-2013 jerseys.

But do they purchase the merchandise because they think it looks totally awesome or because they think the team is totally awesome?

both or a third category - because of a specific player. my guess would be that winning/success trumps all though . .or perhaps market size
Just look on this board . There were two people who said they were turning in their fan card and done rooting for the team because they didn't like the Unis. That may be idiotic , but it's not indifferent. Lol.

lol
If players like them, great! If potential fashion-conscious FA's like them, even better. And if the players actually PLAY BETTER in them, even better.... ;D http://www.buccaneers.com/news/article-smith/Bucs-Uniforms-Designed-to-Perform-Too/d9852a6a-f679-47c4-9c65-710bad62fc5b
