Ah i see, but I'm not gonna hide it, I am still a Trask guy, from just the way he outplayed Mayfield in Preason and when Thad lewis says he doesn't think we will miss a beat if Trask has to play, I believe him. It was the way Baker won the competition with his ability to bond with the guys more, which ultimately won him the job

Trask is capable of playing if called upon in a pinch if Mayfield can not play a few games in a season. Like I said earlier the Bucs depth is way better than everyone else in the division and over 17 games that is going to prove the difference.
Bucs young depth really stepped up in December for the 2023 squad which was a radical shift from what happened to the 2022 squad. The 2022 squad lost momentum in December and backed into the playoffs with a whimper.

The 2022 squad was largely a mirage, especially on offense. You cant win consistently in the NFL (even with the GOAT) with a one dimensional offense, unless maybe you have an All-World defense too, which we did NOT have lol.
The 2022 Bucs with Leftwich and Brady making the game plans basically abandoned the run. Add to that no Gronk and No AB and defenses could just sit back in deep shell and keep everything in front of them. This is why Evans 2022 is only 3 TDs until the last game when the Panthers inexplicably play him in MAN and he hits on 3 VERTICAL TDs lol. Most of the season he's blanked by zone and rolled safeties BECAUSE he is really the only game changing threat and the Bucs are NOT running BY CHOICE. They are throwing him the ball, but the opposing defense has it easy because there is not much else. (Compare to the Bucs team with Brady where we have Gronk and AB and run the ball)
By comparison, in 2023 Evans finishes the season second to only Tyreek Hill in vertical rout TDs (Next Gen). Still throwing the verticals (and more) to him but defenses now have to at least account for the run (even an ineffective run) and other targets. (I mean, who can forget the majesty of Kieft running free against the Vikes!)
