... didn't do so well. The NFC South, Vikings and Cardinals showed up and gave them a spanking.
Favorites in order - Niners, Eagles, Lions, Cowboys, Rams, Packers, Bears, Falcons, Seahawks, Saints, Buccaneers, Vikings, Cardinals.
Niners lost to Vikings, Eagles lost at home to Falcons, Lions lost at home to Bucs, Cowboys lost big to Saints, Rams lost big to Cardinals.
So that's the top five contenders all losing to the also-rans in one week. Sure there are always one or two upsets on any given Sunday, but five for five? It's only two games in, but the NFC may look very different than the script writers envisioned.
And just for fun how's the Devin White comeback tour doing? Well lets see - he was a healthy scratch this week. Yikes. No where to go but up... or out.

It is. No need for overreactions right now.

It's hilarious to see this guy have to eat his humble pie after he did nothing but act like a little bitch all last year. It's started with his contract negotiations, or lack thereof, to now being buried on the depth chart to the point of not being active on gamedays.
Vikings, Bucs and Saints are 2-0 with huge upset NFC wins. I thought Darnold was good with the Panthers the year they almost beat us Week 17. He went to SF betting on Purdy not being ready after the UCL surgery. Good fit with the Vikings, I think they're going to the playoffs. Saints and Bucs will most likely fight for a spot although loser might get a WC this year.

He's probably on his way out. Most players aren't capable of that level of mental turn-a-round.
Canales making moves already. The QB whisperer benching his QB
"Carolina's offensive efficiency rating (.70) through two games ranks last out of 608 instances for Weeks 1-2 since it was first tracked in 2006, and they have converted two of 22 third-down opportunities, worst in the NFL."
Maybe it was Mayfield who made Canales look good lol
Florio Power ranking
1. Chiefs (last week No. 1; 2-0): They’ll need a solid replacement for Isiah Pacheco to stay here.
2. Bills (No. 7; 2-0): Josh Allen is the early-season MVP.
3. Buccaneers (No. 6; 2-0): It’s becoming harder and harder for people to not regard them as an elite team.
4. Lions (No. 2; 1-1): They need to keep these games from being coin-flip affairs.
5. Texans (No. 8; 2-0): Next, Stefon Diggs will return to the place where he helped make a miracle.
I love our Bucs but to have us at three!
we are certainly top 10 at this stage
would like to see how we do the next 2 weeks
against a game we are favored by a touchdown and then again against the eagles where likely a pick em game but a likely nfc playoff team
Yes, agreed.
Here's a simple path I see to 10 wins
Split with New Orleans
Split with Atlanta
2-0 vs Carolina
3-2 vs Den, vs PHI, vs BAL, at NYG, vs LV
1-3 vs SF, at DAL, at KC, at LAC
Obviously they can do better than that.
I was worried about a slow start setting them back. 2-0 teams are probably playoff bound 60% of the time? Not sure, but often.
Of course, injuries can change everything but hopefully we just get healthier from here.
NFL has us at #12, behind the Cowboys, ahead of the Jets.….Lions are ranked #5.I love our Bucs but to have us at three!

Pete Prisco’s power ranking has Bucs at #4, behind the Texans, ahead of the Vikings.
Its week two… data set is small, we’ll see how that holds up.

well yeah, the win against Detroit was a pleasant surprise particularly without our right tackle and handful of best players on defense. So that helps us a bit in the road to 10 wins assuming we dont drop a shit game
so the games we MUST win are CAR (X2), DEN, @NYG, and VS LV. We will be favored in all of these games and there is no reason not to win them. that gets us to 7 wins.
you then have to split with ATL/NO and that gets you to 9 wins
means you need to take 1 game out of V PHI, V BAL, V SF, @DAL, at KC, @LC
with how the first 2 weeks have gone, all those games are winnable. Spirits are high. let's take it one game at a time.
maybe shoot for 12 wins!
put it this way, if we beat Eagles and are sitting at 4-0; then yes, let's go for 12
if we are sitting at 2-2, then hell, we need to do some native American rain dances to get to 10!
I dint see it but didnt the Eagles have the Falcons beat but for a dropped easy catch?

Yeah, Saquon dropped a pass inside the 3-yd line, stopping the clock and allowing PHI to preserve a TO. The difference on the clock was giving the bal back to ATL with over a minute to play or giving it back with just a few seconds.
Personally, I put the loss on Sirianni. I mean I get it, score there and that's your dagger, the game is over. But as HC you have to make the opposing team use up that last TO, that's the goal there, especially when you have the lead, and most particularly vs. a Conference opponent.
And imo, Sirianni coached that whole game from a position of arrogance, beginning with opting to go for it on their first drive down inside the 5, when he went for it then. If he'd just taken the FG there, PHI wins the game by a point regardless of what he does at the end of the game, iirc. And he just kept making decisions as if he had very little/no respect for ATL.
But whatever. Sirianni is going to do Sirianni things. Congrats to Cousins for pulling it off. And for playing better. Hope he can stay healthy.
Love all the enthusiasm for the Bucs, but man it is a long season. Last year we finished Q1 at 3-1 and . . . .
