Oakland Raiders: Doug Martin
Do the Oakland Raiders have what it takes to return to their effective level from two years ago in which they finally put an end to their overdue playoff drought? Only time will tell when it comes to whether the Raiders can live up to the high expectations, but the good news is with Jon Gruden on board as head coach, it seems more realistic.

Knowing his history of quarterback development, Derek Carr has to be thrilled over what the 2018 season has in store now that he gets to work with Gruden on offense. Along with having a dynamic duo in Amari Cooper and Jordy Nelson, Carr will look to benefit from having a workhorse at running back as well in Marshawn Lynch.

Originally, the Raiders were excited over the thought of Lynch teaming up with Doug Martin to provide Oakland’s backfield with a new duo to work with. But when seeing how well Chris Warren has looked throughout the preseason, the Raiders may have found a new potential running back of the future.

So if they can find a way to give Warren more carries in 2018 while getting rid of someone else, Oakland might as well consider Martin to make it easy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DeSean Jackson
After falling just shy of making the playoffs the year before, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were viewed as one of the teams in the NFC expected to make the leap to serious contender during the 2017 season. Instead of living up to the expectations of a serious contender, the Buccaneers ended up being another one of those teams that turned into a complete disappointment after winning just five games.

More than ever, the pressure is on Tampa Bay to make sure they get back on the winning track since it would be a shame to see all of the talent they have go to complete waste, even if the defense needs to show improvement after a horrendous outing last year. Not to mention, the offense will need to figure out a way to adjust to playing those first three games without Jameis Winston while he deals with his suspension.

No matter who is playing under center for the Buccaneers, Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick will benefit from having a reliable target in Mike Evans to work with at receiver. As for DeSean Jackson, the 668 receiving yards and three touchdowns in 14 games aren’t what one would expect from a player like the Buccaneers wideout when looking at the money he’s pulling in.

For all 32 teams....
