I have always had a suspicion that the NFL does not fix games, but certainly nudges certain teams to victory. It is a business and is about making money. So naturally they might nudge teams to create more interesting matchups.
Not taking away from our Super Bowl which we no doubt deserved and earned I believe over several years. The Gruden Bowl could definitely prove the crazy conspiracy.
Other examples over the years could be, Patriots win after 9-11 and Saints after Katrina.
My point is, could we now be one of the teams getting nudged? What a huge story would A Winston-Mariota Bowl be a year removed from1-2 overall picks! Just a crazy thought but anything that would help us reach the top again I am in favor for. Not that the nudging actually happens but if it does it may finally be in our favor.
