Going into draft season, Greedy Williams was a top pick candidate. Then, he somehow fell like a rock before the draft, despite his football tape showing huge talent as a Press Man and Quarters CB.

6, count them, six Cornerbacks were drafted before him. These teams included:

Giants - Deandre Baker
Cardinals - Byron Murphy
Colts - Rock Ya-Sin
(our) Buccaneers - Sean Murphy-Bunting
Raiders - Trayvon Mullen
Patriots - Joejuan Williams

Baker has been unbelievably bad.

Murphy and Ya-Sin have been right around the pass/fail mendoza line.

Mullen has been poor.

Williams hasn't seen a snap.

Our Murphy-Bunting has seen all of 7 regular season scrimmage snaps and has been terrible.

Greedy Williams has been a starter and seen not just good to great overall and coverage grades, but also run defense and tackling (tackling is actually his highest grade).

How does this happen? How do NFL front offices get cute like this? This feels like corporate copy-cat culture, when the buffoon who started the trend somehow has the clout to bring the rest of the uncreative, uninspiring, zeitgeist-driven, only-in-America CEOs along with them.
