Yesterday, the only guy that fired off when the ball was snapped was the Center. Nobody else on offense was ready for the ball to be snapped there.
The entire offensive line goes into their sets. No one is firing off the line in that circumstance. lol
The video is there but even without it funny to suggest that the G who tapped him wasn’t ready

Correct the line was ready. The WRs were getting set.
Aiden clapped his hands to hurry then but forgot that's the signal.
I'm not sure what else there is to make of this.
There can’t be a false start if the offense isn’t set. The offense wasn’t set. The snap prior to the offense being set made it an illegal motion. That’s what the discussion was about by the officials, and they got the call right.
Yes there can. False starts happen all the time with players in motion or moving around. It's less common but still possible... However the point is that when a ref blows it dead it's done. That's it.
I'm not even sure who the false start would have been on as the replay wasn't focused on it... But the sideline judge very clearly blows the whistle, signals false start, and signals time to stop.
"Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce says at least one official blew the play dead before his team lost a fumble on its final offensive snap in Friday’s loss to the Chiefs.
The bizarre play, on which the Raiders had a miscommunication that resulted in quarterback Aidan O’Connell not knowing that a shotgun snap was coming to him, ended the Raiders’ hopes of winning on a last-second field goal. The Raiders were flagged for an illegal shift on the play, which the Chiefs declined, but it sounded like an official blew the play dead for a false start, which would have negated the snap.
“We heard a whistle on our sideline,” Pierce told reporters on Saturday.
Pierce said he’ll send that play in to the league’s officiating office and ask for an explanation, but he said that’s a typical practice after every game when the team has questions about a call.
The official near the Raiders’ sideline appeared to blow his whistle and signal timeout before the Chiefs jumped on the loose ball, which should have meant the play didn’t count. Pierce has a legitimate complaint about that."
Correct the line was ready.
The OL was set, but they weren’t ready for the snap when it happened. That’s two different things. You can see the other four linemen are a beat late moving after the ball is snapped early.

Not multiple players moving when the ball is snapped, which is what happened for Oakland. That’s why the officials talked about it. You had one waving it dead with the false start, but the other guys informed him there were multiple players moving at the snap - correctly making it illegal motion. The official who signaled false start was wrong. I didn’t hear a whistle, but he certainly could have blown it. That dude may have screwed up, but the officials got it right after the discussion.
However the point is that when a ref blows it dead it's done. That's it.
No argument here. If the ref who called false start blew his whistle, the Raiders got hosed on the turnover. But the illegal motion was the correct call with the Center snapping the ball early with multiple people moving.
Illegal motion was the right call, agreed. But not if the whistle was blown... Even if it was inadvertently.
Chiefs keep finding new ways to win late.

Interesting
NFL in-house rules analyst Walt Anderson appeared on the NFL in-house media outlet on Sunday to address the situation. But he only addressed part of it.
Anderson explained that, because the clock was stopped at the time of the foul, the Raiders committed an illegal shift and not a false start. (By rule, an illegal shift on a running clock after the two-minute warning of either half becomes a false start, with a 10-second runoff.)
Anderson is absolutely right about that part. But he completely ignored the more problematic aspect of the situation, from an officiating standpoint.
An official at the top of the screen clearly runs toward the middle of the field, signaling time out and then signaling false start BEFORE the ball is recovered. And whistles can plainly be heard as the chaos is beginning to unfold, following the inadvertent snap.
By rule, an erroneous whistle kills the play.
That said, the replay rules allow for possession to be awarded to the defense if the video evidence shows that “possession was lost before the ball should have been ruled dead.” Under that scenario, “possession may be awarded to a player who clearly recovers a loose ball in the immediate continuing action."
POINT:
whistle and signal AFTER snap but BEFORE RECOVERY, rules allow it to be a turnover.
Correct and it's the main point. Whistle means the play is dead even if false start wasn't the right call
Chiefs deserved to lose that one. Stumbled ass-backwards into that W. I found myself wishing they would lose to LVR in humiliating fashion there at the end to see if that would wake some of them up. I think they really need a slap in the face, from HC on down to STs. They aren't winning in the playoffs if they continue to play the way they've been playing the last couple three weeks.
Lots of really good games today.
MVP race is starting to tighten up.
MVP odds going into tonight's game:
1. Allen +150
2. Saquon +250
3. Jackson +400
4. Goff +650
After tonight though, Allen may further distance himself from the pack.

My pick is Saquon by a country mile.
Not a Thanksgiving game, but a resounding victory of note. I was trailing my fantasy opponent last night by 14 points, and I had Denver's defense. Thank you Jameis wINsTon for delivering two pick-6's for my fantasy team resulting in a close 6 point win! I also had a Hard Rock bet Denver -6, so the second one pushed the score to a 9 point margin. Double Whammy!
