My official stance is that we should not rely on Mike Glennon for the 2014 season. The last few games have been very bad. While NFL offenses are pretty much averaging 300 to 400 yds per game we are stuck at/slightly above or slightly below 200. This is unacceptable.I think he has value in relief work.He is not good enough to take this team to the playoff. If Schiano thinks he can win games with a game manager QB in this league he needs to go too.
Hopefully we get a cuter QB next season.
Jff or marotia if he declares.I'm done with the boring offense and questionable qb play.Let glennon battle for it in front of an offensive minded hc.
Let him compete with a 1st round QB talent! Then we will see what Glennon is made of.
No QB will succeed with this coaching staff!
After this game today, I was disgusted with what I saw from Glennon. I regret some of the things i said, because during highlights I saw just how bad our o-line was getting their ass handed to them. It was bad overall today, and there are major problems up front to deal with. If we can get consistent play like he showed during the seattle/Atlanta game, he should get a shot next year. But from what i've seen lately, that might be wishful thinking as he has looked dreadful in the past few games. I think that if we're picking 7th, and Barr/Matthews/Clowney/Teddy etc. are off the board, we need to select Johnny Football. I wouldn't say that this fan base is at rock bottom, but it sure seems close. Tampa needs an exciting, young quarterback who will give us something to cheer about. We're all tired of losing, especially with the amount of talent we currently have on this roster, and it's about time we win some games. With a new coaching staff, and an exciting qb like Manziel who can carry the team on his back, we could be playoff bound next year. Also, this has nothing to do with Glennon but I came across this picture of Josh Freeman's new hairstyle... Its interesting to say the least (Sorry, i would have posted the pic itself but i can't figure out how to do it from my phone, so the links the best i could do)

Don't understand the fascination with Mariota. Might as well just give Josh Johnson another run if we're going with tall lanky dudes who have terrible mechanics that don't allow them to utilize their arm strength and fold when they get hit.

Josh Johnson at least threw the ball down the field in college. Personally, I don't want anything to do with Mariota's dink and dunk read option garbage.
I don't know that Glennon is the answer. He gets happy feet all the time and he's not super accurate down field. He's not a horrible QB...but I don't know that he will ever be a top 10 QB.The only think I will say is that he has very little talent around him on offense. Our O-line is pathetic for the most part. I'd be okay if the only person they brought back was Dotson. Penn is soooo overpaid and overrated and the interior of our O-line is even worse. If Nicks isn't back next year then we need 4 O-lineman.Also on offense...when you are throwing to WRs that shouldn't be on an NFL roster...you have a problem. Jackson is the only NFL caliber WR on this team.As much as I am unsure about Glennon, it's hard to judge him with so little around him. With that said, I still look at drafting a QB with our first pick. If Manziel is there at 7 (assuming we lose and don't jump anyone), I take a long look. If we don't draft him, then I draft the best O-lineman or WR available and look QB in round 2 or 4 to provide competition.

That pretty much sums up how i feel. In the past i've defended Glennon, not because I think he is some awesome QB, but because the problem with the offense is a lot more than the QB and Glennon has had no real chance. But yea Kodiak, it should be Manziel in the first, or draft Watkins, Oline, or passrush, then look for some QB compition in the 2nd - 4th rounds. Lets say we drafted Watkins in the first, Sefarian Jenkins in the second. With Vjax, Mike Will, Watkins, Jenkins, and Martin next year, our offense could realistically go from below 200 yards a game to 400 yards a games even with Glennon at the helm.

I just died. LOL
we possess the second worst Oline in professional football. relying on a 4th string RB, and only 2 legit targets to throw the ball to.The team need to re-evaluate the entire o-line (by re-evaluate I mean terminate). Cut Goldson. Draft a good DE.
Look, they are all NFL players. Tons of other teams have injuries. The Patriots have been absolutely torn up with injury. Most of their D-lineman are guys that were walking the streets halfway through the season. Yet they are still going to lock down a top AFC seed.Im tired of losing and losing and losing. Its all nonsense no more excuses. Glennon has looked bad the last few games, tired of it.
158 yards in unacceptable in this NFL. That isn't a "decent game." That is bad. Make some plays or something. LOL@158 yards.
