Glennon hasn't earned the starting job next year. We need to bring in someone to compete with him. If he beats the other guy out, he can start, but we can't go into next season with him being the definite starter. You do also have to wonder how much the coaching staff is holding Glennon back.
It is very possible that they both suck. Glennon is only a rookie but it would be a mistake NOT to get someone else in here(preferably a vet) to compete with him.
glennons 1st year stats arent too far off from bradys 2nd year...
Does it look the same to you? Because it doesnt to me.Also the NFL has drastically changed since those years. Every average NFL QB is throwing close to 300 yds per game.Glennon has laid too many stinkers at this point.
Chris OwusuTiquan UnderwoodSkye DawsonEric PageIf Glennon cannot ride that gravy train to greatness without run support, then he needs to go.
I just died. LOL
LOL me too
Glennon's high point was the ATL game, been downhill ever since. I think he makes a few plays a game to give you signs of hope and promise but not enough to make you think he can win without a stellar surronding cast.
That was mostly due to the prayer he threw up the VJAX answered.
Well Josh gave himself two full extra seasons based off of VJAX and Williams and Winslow answering prayers so...
We have an OL that can't pass block and can't open up holes for any RB who ever played the game. The OL has to be the top priority above all else. Penn looked like he was trying to hide yesterday, and the rest were simply over-matched. The best we have is a converted basketball player and he is still learning the game. A rookie QB won't change anything dealing with these guys. Free agency AND the draft have to be used to bolster this unit. The main focus has to be improving the talent level on offense. They're last in the league. The defense is not far from being a top ten unit. A free agent or two could be enough to get them there. The OL needs a major overhaul and a couple of TEs that can block. Top competition for Glennon is a luxury we can't afford right now. The Bucs need those picks for a decent LT and a C that can actually do something after he hikes the ball. I believe Schiano knows talent on the playing field, but struggles with picking the right coaches. IMO, he deserves a third season to prove he can get it right. This D is certainly better than the one he inherited. I'd like to see what he has in mind for the offense. It has to be his major concern.
Please send Beaker back to Muppetland

i dont know if same is the word id use...but i certainly believe that glennon is a hardworking, focused individual. i think he has skills and can be successful if given help. i dont believe that it benefits the Bucs to split reps between 2 inexperienced QB's. nor do i think grabbing a guy off the trash heap is beneficial. if i had to choose between glennon and sullivan/schiano, id choose glennon everytime. no way to do i believe any QB will be successful with our offense and our players.
Simply put, we could do better.
LOL at all of you that think Manziel or Mariota will put us back to our winning ways again. Rookie QB and we're starting over again. I think everyone would be well served to remember that.

What's funny is how you would make such a moronic comment, when just a year earlier 3 rookie QB's took their teams to the play offs.
Andy Dalton did it the year before.

do you think that rg3 or andy dalton could take the Bucs to the playoffs? do you think there is a QB in the draft as good as andrew luck?
Andy Dalton did it the year before.
Dalton has the best WR in the game IMO in Green, and a plethora of other weapons. He hasn't always lit it up either.
So all of you "No to Glennon" posters, who do you propose we replace him with?
Cutler, Manziel, Josh freeman.
I like Cutler, but not at that price tag and his backup is better than he right now. I also like Manziel, but expect him to be horrible if asked to play as a rookie on a team that isn't stacked, way worse than Glennon. And Freeman? Really??

Hilarious. You think this crop of QBs is as good as Luck, pre-injury RGIII or Russell Wilson. Even funnier? You called my comment moronic. Pot. Kettle. Black.

I was thinking I'd rather have McCown than Cutler at this point. Pick him up, retain Glennon, draft Murray in the 5th round and let the winner take all. Saves quite a bit of money too. Something to consider though; McCown has had success this season (with big receivers and a dynamic every-down back BTW...) mainly because of the system that he has played in up in Chicago.
