I agree. If Glennon can't take some practice squad dudes and look like Brees or Brady, then he needs to go.

Who said he had to look like Brees or Brady? They were simply examples that prove having a bunch of nobodies at WR is no excuse for not producing. If they can have good seasons with no names is it too much to ask our guy to look remotely NFL caliber rather than the joke he does?Seriously, the guy stinks, he has zero situational awareness & plays scared. 2 things you never want said about your QB.

If two of the best QBs in the NFL can take some no names and make them look good, then any rookie ought to be able to do it as well. Sounds reasonable to me.

I'm not sure why it such a slap in the face to some posters to say that Glennon falls in the 20-40 range of NFL QB's.  That's not saying he sucks.  Quite the opposite.  I think the guy should play in the NFL for a decade or so as a back-up NFL QB.  He's just not a guy you want to build a franchise around.  Very Jon Kitna-esque.Outside of a couple throws here and there, he's looked pretty bad the last few weeks.  Quit using the other players as an excuse, for God's sake.  That was the Freeman idiots did.

that very much might be his ceiling.  i do think its pretty early to be definite about it, that McCoy thread is a good reminder about that.  and are you sold on any of the QB's in the draft?  id rather not take a QB just to take a QB.

It could be his ceiling, none of us really knows. But don't compare him to two of the best QBs to ever play the game then act like they're two dudes you picked at random. That's a blatantly obvious agenda.

High expectations anyone? Glennon should perform like Brees or Brady as a rookie? Not with this OL and this scheme, and certainly not with this ground attack. The Saints and Patriots have struggled at times this year, and so have the 'Niners and Broncos. Eli Manning leads the league in interceptions thrown. RGIII is benched. Fig Newton struggled at the beginning of the year. No rookie QB has ever had a great season on a bad team with poor coaching. Glennon appears to be regressing. It is surprising because that wasn't the trend a month ago. IMO he's shown that he can be productive when given some support from the people around him. I believe he can build on the experience and become at least the equal of Brad Johnson. Glennon has the advantage of youth over BJ. With this defense, the Bucs could be back in the playoff picture in the very near future The Bucs will likely finish the second half of the season 4-4. That's better than 0-8. Schiano has to focus on fixing the offense, and starting with the OL and a decent blocking TE. 2014 will be a much better year.

Not to nitpick but Tom Brady hasn't really struggled this year.  They are 11-4 and are undefeated at home.  1 of those loses was in OT.  1 was due to a bad call (panthers game) and 1 he drove them down the field at the end of the game for the win but it didn't happen.  They are poised to have a bye and home field advantage in the playoffs.  Don't be surprised if he makes a 6 Super Bowl.  And if that does happen remember it's going to be played outside in the cold where his team thrives.

Which WRs did Brady have looking good early in the year? They played like trash and He looked like trash.

so those receivers dropping his perfectly catchable passes made him look like trash?  Btw, he won his first 4 games.

I want to see him get another year.  We are not going to the SB next year, I want to put the pieces in place for long term success.  To me that means an edge rusher (2nd most important position in football...we have NOTHING there), another offensive weapon, some Oline help, and a competent coaching staff.  Then lets see what Glennon's got when put in a situation to win, if he is found wanting...sell the farm for a top tier QB next year.

We don't know what QB's are draft eligible yet, and which ones will be available when Tampa picks.  I would most definitely take a QB if there was a guy there I liked.  But no, I wouldn't take a QB just to take a QB.  That's how you end up with EJ Manuel and Geno Smith.

Yes he has, and he'll be the first one to tell you.  There have been more a few games that he's played badly for 3.5 quarters only to pull of one of his comebacks to win the game.  But make no mistake, he hasn't had a good year by Brady standards.

Statistically no but given all that has been thrown at him he is still probably going to end up with a 12 win season.  I hate the Pats but the guy might be the GOAT.  And he should also finish with about 4500 yards, 60%, 26 TDs, 11 ints.  Considering we are fans of a 4 win team that has managed less than 200 total yards of offense the last two games I wouldn't have the nerve to call that "struggling".

He very well could be the GOAT but his numbers early were pedestrian. His team won games Early because of good coaching.
