Who would be the top 2 or 3 edge rusher or interior offensive lineman that should be available with our first pick?

Maybe Chop Robinson. But if we’re depending on a rookie in Chop, Yaya, and JTS to help lead a dynamic pass rush, you better be content with us blitzing because that ain’t gonna do it for a four-man rush.

Chop isn't dynamic enough to be a starting rusher so early in his potential NFL career.  Bucs can use a rotation and blitzing to reach 40+ sacks again.  But to increase pressures they need a more dynamic rusher to compliment Diaby on the other side. My instincts tell me that the Bucs may trade up for Latu because why not?  If JTS contributes 5 sacks and Nelson like 4 in reserve that isn't bad at all.  LVD and Winfield may have 5 sack a piece respectfully.

Jackson-Power is also a trade up candidate while Barton can be had even with a trade down while still staying in the first round IMO.

@alldaway - I agree. Only issue is offenses like McVay/Shanahan’s/Reid’s/Johnson’s welcome our constant 5 and 6 many pressures, because they pick us apart. We play KC this year. If we blitz them they will kill us. And we can’t just send any combination of 4 that we have on the roster now, because there won’t be a consistent rush. This is going to be a very tough season on our defense because of the offenses on our schedule. It could get real ugly if we don’t get a veteran free agent.

I’d be good with JPJ, or an edge (or a  CB1). While Chop Robinson’s lack of production is a concern, his athleticism is incredible. I can’t believe a team would pass on him if he were available at #26. Especially if the others mentioned are gone when we pick.

Running back -

Looking likely the Bucs are looking to add the Kentucky or USC backs in the 3rd or 4th round

TE-

still desperately need that #2 guy. Hoping we can fill this need before the draft but unfortunately it’s slim pickings on the open market. Hayden Hurst or Logan Thomas on a 1 year deal??

C- still need our guy. Expect an early draft pick.

defensive line- this hasn’t been mentioned enough as a need; but out goes Gholston. That spot hasn’t been replaced and they need an upgrade. I would not be shocked to see them add a free agent or a day 2 pick in the draft

olb-

like at center we still need our guy. Yaya is nice as one starter but we need a dawg. Nothing left in free agency that is better than the young guys on the roster. I could see the Bucs trading up to get Verse or Latu

Cb/s -

still 2 spots open and depth and special teamers needed.

Also need a wide receiver from somewhere. But I think the team is high on Palmer

draft

1st - OC Graham Barton, Duke

2nd - Edge Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan

3rd - Trade to Eagles for Edge Haason Reddick

3rd - CB Khyree Jackson, Oregon

4th - LB Jaylan Ford, Texas

Bucs were atrocious at pressuring the QB last year.  bulk up there.  Maneuver the cap somehow to fit in Reddick, LA Rams NO Saints 2021 Bucs style

This is what PR staff misses.  Bucs don't need to burn a first or second round pick to address WR. You can find a quality WR in round 4 for example because it is a deep draft at WR.

Assuming the Bucs don't trade up or trade down the first four picks will address OG, OC, OLB and CB.  The rest of the draft I think they go WR, TE and RB.  Now that extra third round pick can go with RB, WR, or TE instead of CB.  So the Bucs have options with that extra pick.
