There's been a lot of talk here about the TB O and the QB. Rightly so, since our O is leading the entire league in several important stats. We lead in total yards per game (473.3), passing yards per game (400.7), and we're 4th in points per game (34.0). No matter where you come down on the Fitzpatrick/Winston debate, you have to admit the O has been explosive so far.
I want to talk about something else, which might be even more important.
Our D.
Which is terrible.
We are second to last in the league in opponent yards per game (433) and 4th last in opponent points per game (30.3).
If our D was even AVERAGE, we would be 3-0 right now.
What is the problem here? Why is our D so bad?
This worries me more than the QB debate. No matter who is in there, you can't possibly expect the QB to pass for 400 yards a game for the next 13 games. Take that away, with the D ALLOWING 433 yards per game, and we're going to be in big trouble.
THoughts?
