Interviewed so far....(not sure about the in-house candidates)
Marcus Brady Chargers pass game coordinator,
Grant Udinski Vikings Assistant OC,
Nate Scheelhaase (as reported by PR) to be interviewed
Chip Kelly reportedly is interested.
Tell Chip Kelly to kick rocks. Hes already screwed us over once. We should be preparing for whoever we hire to either leave next offseason for a HC job or be ready to promote him to HC.
Grant Udinski Just had a great year with Darnold and that Vikings offense.
29 years old to boot? Might be my new top choice.
Incidentally I sort of adopted the Darlington suggestion that the Bucs might have fired Bowles to make Coen HC given the opportunity.
head to head Coen doesn’t take the Jags HC job over Bucs HC because the Bucs have very successful infrastructure in place and the Jags do NOT, even with Baalke gone.
it’s not hard to imagine the size of the task in Jax overwhelming Coen
I think he would have had fast track to the job if/when Bowles is fired. I get the idea to get paid but to be successful is always a better long term winning strategy and I'm not sure he took that option. He went for the money now. Which I can't say that he wouldn't have gotten more if he waited a year or so. Also with how he decided to handle this if he sucks in Jax it could be a while before getting another opportunity like that with his history. Then with their history I'm shocked he decided to go the way he did. Will be interesting to follow and see who gets the last laugh.
Well, the GM was Mark Dominik who was fired not long after. The Bucs were not a preferred destination at the time. But he'll be another guy looking to parlay a one year tour into a head coaching job, and to bring in his own offensive system and philosophy when we already have a good system.Tell Chip Kelly to kick rocks. Several in house candidates Thad lewis Josh grizzard along with carberry.
Oregon OC will stein would be nice too reunite him with Bucky
As a Ducks fan... Wasn't super impressed with his play calling. He was ok but in big moments he would go full Canales.

No way dude Chip would be perfect for our personnel. His run scheme is excellent. He's not a great head coach but he's an amazing player caller imo.
OSU had everyone on skates all playoffs.

I don't think this is accurate. He stepped down as UCLA head coach to be OSU OC.
I don't think he likes being the head coach... Especially in college where you have to recruit.
Tampa has the benefit of being the best offensive setup to move into, with few exceptions in the league. Whomever we want, we will get, if they are available. I can’t think of another franchise where in back to back years, first year NFL OCs, were so successful that they found HEAD FUCKING COACHING jobs in one year’s time. Our offense is the absolute truth.
I hear what you are saying and this is a good point, and I will grant you that perhaps he would not be laser focused on getting an NFL HC job as fast as possible. But I have to believe that if that opportunity comes along he won't jump on it.Well, the GM was Mark Dominik who was fired not long after. The Bucs were not a preferred destination at the time. On the other hand teams may be hesitant based on his past experience with the Eagles. Of course it's easy to criticize a failed HC on his way out of town, and Kelly would just be the coordinator and not HC. But here were some of the criticisms that might give the Bucs pause before going forward with him.

No offensive line. After an incredible 2013 that saw the Eagles’ entire offensive line play all 16 games together as the Birds led the league in rushing, Kelly not only refused to draft any o-line help, he also waved goodbye to Evan Mathis and Todd Herremans while adding no one.
Too fast. The Eagles fast-paced offense, when it fired on all cylinders, was a sight to behold. But, as fans know, the offense sputtered more often than it strived, and as a result three-and-outs forced the defense to stay out on the field for the most plays in football. It’s hard to succeed as a defense when you’re continually hung out to dry.
No adaptation. Philly’s offense got worse and worse as Kelly’s tenure continued on. After ranking second in offense his first two years the offense was stale and unimaginative in 2015. Defenses clearly knew what was coming, and Kelly showed nothing new or innovative.
Lost the locker room. The Eagles had no shortage of drama this offseason, with allegations of racism a distraction during training camp and several unhappy departures coming back to haunt the Birds.
Of course people can learn from their mistakes, but his offensive philosophy may not mesh well with Bowles desire to have a balanced offense and sustain drives. That was ten years ago. He was able to change his style when moving from Oregon to Ohio State to fit in with the head coach. The Buckeyes had a pretty good running game. It's just hard for me to believe that Kelly wouldn't ultimately want to parlay the job into a HC job again, and I wonder how he would mesh with the veteran players on the team.
I believe that Joshua Queipo is on to something here. This will stop our bleeding of coaches and will be able to keep the same scheme or close to it. Grizzard is a perfect replacement and from all the reports I can see and we can lock down the other staff if we can get them to reach an agreement within reason of positions.

"Coen credited Grizzard with the Bucs’ success on the money down where the Bucs led the NFL in third down conversions at 51.1%"
Hard pass on chip kelly
Totally agree and I don't like him either. Starting to see the carousel of Coaches is shrinking out there when it comes to loyalty and integrity. We need one coach that will honor the fans honoring him and the ownership paying for the loyalty, honor and integrity.

What does that have to do with Chip Kelly?
He doesn't want to be a head coach.
