Teams who haven't announced OCs: Texans, Jets, Raiders, Bucs. (SF expected to promote Klay Kubiak, Dal has OC turned HC., others have been filled)
Of those, Texans and Bucs are the most attractive IMO.
Texans have not interviewed any of those the Bucs interviewed. They are rumored to be interested in Chip Kelly though.
Jets have interviewed Caley, the only one also on the Bucs list of interviews.
Raiders only have a couple guys on their interview list so far.
Bottom line: I don't think the Bucs need to rush their process. They seemingly aren't looking at guys who are about to be snatched up by other teams. Udinski was interviewed by two other teams who chose someone else. Scheelhaase isn't showing up on anybody else's list. Brady was interviewed by another team who hired someone else. As much as I would like to know who the Bucs will hire, they should take their time.

Jon Gruden as OC?
I think we’re going with one of the McVay/Rams guys - stay with the same concepts and build off of what we’ve done before. To me, Scheelhaase makes the most sense, as he has the McVay pedigree, and has at least been an actual OC (at Iowa State). Bucs seem to be interviewing a specific type of coach & age group. There are a lot of good candidates.
Wonder if Grizzard, Carberry & Lewis, would stay? Has to be a concern.
I would do Gruden. He was good with the veterans. His failing was his difficulty transitioning to younger players. Right now, the offense is pretty much set, so Gruden might be the right guy for the job. The fact that they took his name off the stadium wall might factor into that equation. The fact that the Glazers want future Superbowls at RJ also might factor in. So - not gonna happen but good thought.Mike McCarthy anyone?

Those coaches are under contract so the new OC would have to communicate with them to see if they are on the same page. So OC coaching search is going as normal after the last two off seasons. But the new DL coach search seems to be on the backburner until the Bucs settle and hire the new OC. It could be that they are concurrently searching for a new DL coach at the same time but it is not reported by the media.
Yes going with a McVay guy would give more of an opportunity for the assistants to stay, at least some. They already know the system and the players. If someone was going to bring in a new system they'd probably want to bring in their own guys who know how to run it. So, for that reason, I think you are right on target. They aren't just interviewing McVay guys because it's McVay, it's also so that they retain continuity in coaching staff who know the system. I'd bet the farm one of the McVay guys or Grizzard gets the nod.I think we’re going with one of the McVay/Rams guys - stay with the same concepts and build off of what we’ve done before. Gruden would be fun but I think that would be a possible mess with bowles. They could also work really well together. I don't see it though.
lol i was only kidding. Time has not been kind to Gruden's legacy in terms of success on the field.
still think he should be in our wall of fame
but yeah Gruden would not work and is too big a personality compared to soft spoken Bowles. would never work
Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Thad Lewis has interviewed for the Texans’ offensive coordinator job, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.
Lewis received several requests for offensive coordinator interviews but declined the others, per Rapoport.
Lewis and DeMeco Ryans were teammates with the 2015 Eagles.
Well Grizzard is younger and less experienced and seems to be more favored. Perhaps Lewis sees the writing on the wall that he's not going to be an OC in TB.Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Thad Lewis has interviewed for the Texans’ offensive coordinator job, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports.

Need to find an OC who can really take Baker and Mike Evans to the next level if they don't want to keep on being one and done in the playoffs.
Kill Kingsbury staying another year with Washington.
So annoying
