OC selection questions.

Nothing so far from PR or anybody else about who the Bucs are scheduling, calling, or thinking about. Only potential candidates, which they are just grasping at out of the blue. But nevertheless, here are the guys. Todd Monken is an obvious candidate from the Bucs and fans perspectives, but probably not from the Monken perspective. Questions: 1) Is this a Bowles hire or a Licht hire? Licht may want somebody with experience who can be a HC candidate in the future, such as Frank Reich. Bowles may not want to be staring at his future replacement on the other side of the ball. Bowles may want a young up and comer who has some new ideas and is just happy to be there. 2) How relevant is Arians anymore? What is his future with the Bucs? Leftwich was his guy, as was Bowles. As was Christensen, McNair, and Garver - all Arians guys who were fired. Those were Arians guys on his coaching tree, and I don't know that there are any more logical guys from the Arians tree. Harold Goodwin and Joe Gilbert are Arians guys who were not fired... yet. But is having Arians on your Linkedin page really a positive anymore? I find it hard to believe he will have any input into the selection of the OC, and that affects how he evaluates talent as well. Will Arians be in tuned with what the new OC wants when he is out scouting at the Senior Bowl or looking at free agents around the league or whatever he does now? Will Arians be comfortable with a former head coach like Reich who will have pull and perhaps pull against Arians? As Arians' people are summarily dispatched, I have to believe his influence is being dispatched along with them. 3) What's the holdup? Why haven't we heard anything? Other teams are interviewing guys.

Sources tell me that UGA offensive coordinator/QBs coach and former Bucs and Browns offensive coordinator Todd Monken will interview next week for the Bucs’ offensive coordinator position.
