With all the talk about Jameis' psyche and what not, I think the defense's lack of discovery of "the turnover" is playing as big a role as any. I think the mix of constantly being in 3rd and long on drives that must go 40+ yards to even be in field goal range is wearing on him.
Since the defense can't force turnovers, and generally gives up a first down or five before finally getting a stop, the offense is always on their side of the field. Hump has been a pretty good returner and is getting 8-15 yards of it back, but without explosive plays from the defense, the offense is pressing.
