Culp has all the makings of being a legit playmaker
this would be so awesome
I loved the value of the pick.
And, in the limited snaps, he showed out.
PFF had favorable grades on him in the last 2 games (80.9 and 72.7).
Great hands, good route running, and good speed as a TE.
right there with you.
would love to see him become a regular contributor and maybe even a go to player. What a return on a 7th round pick (I think)

If he can clean up the blocking and we run more 12-personnel; he could get a chance to shine.
G, OT, QB?
I hope you’re talking day 3.
But the defense needs DL, Edge, ILB (x 2), CB, Nickle CB and Safety.
Occams razor
Could be wrong, but I don't believe Licht can get a 3rd for dean. If he can get a 4th for him, Licht should walk away happy, with a little smirk on his face. But that's just my unvarnished opinion.
agreed. Being a cut candidate with that contract even a 5th would be better than nothing.
If he can clean up the blocking
I was looking into this trying to understand why he’s just showing up now and maybe this is it? He’s sort of undersized maybe, like 230.
small sample size so far but seems they would find a way. Big match up problem for a lot of defenses
I agree, Culp could be a surprise player next year. Watching his "mic'd up" on Youtube he needs to get rid of the just glad to be here attitude. He's livin the life of being an NFL player! That's going to wear thin. It wore thin with me after about three minutes of the video. But hey he's a rookie so I'm glad he's having fun, but next year he may be needed in the receiving game and he'll be needed to drop the "he he he wow I'm in the NFL!". That's really why he's here because you can see he's not big enough to be pushing people around in the blocking game no matter how much enthusiasm he has. I think he could become a weapon in the passing game.Culp is a guy I'm really looking forward to seeing in year 2. He came on the last couple games (surprised he was inactive against Washington). He made some really nice hands catches and I didn't realize how big the guy actually is.
Sign Bredeson and Godwin and we’ll have back 11/11 offensive starters. Coen or not, that’s huge
I would be interested in perhaps drafting/acquiring a better option at TE, if that were possible. The kid from MI maybe.
We're good at TE.
Culp has all the makings of being a legit playmaker.
Maybe. I mean, he only played in 5 games, was only targeted 6 times. Not enough of a sample size to really know much. He did make a couple really nice grabs, for whatever that's worth. just knowing how much Baker values TEs, I'd like to see Licht make a play for a TE with more upside, whether that's a veteran or in the draft. A good vet, a la Zach Ertz, would be my choice, both to save the draft pick and more importantly to put a quality vet in the room so that Otton, Culp, etc, would have someone to learn from for a season.
well yeah assuming we can get a third for Dean
i was actually a little surprised last year when we trading Davis.
this year, i think it would be a secrets to none that Dean is available
maybe we get a 4th or 5th? hope i'm wrong...but i can just as easily see cut with him.
Any draft pick for Dean would help because the Bucs need bodies on defense to see which players can emerge. The offense can be more selective targeting a LG and WR to train to emerge in a year or 2. But the defense needs DL, Edge, ILB (x 2), CB, Nickle CB and Safety.
I am all for the Defense getting the most important picks first DL, Edge, ILB (x 2), CB, Nickle CB and Safety. But we need to look for a WR like Mike Evans and a Speedster who is a great route runner. But we need defense to be stocked this year either through FA or the draft or both.

Yeah. For whatever that's worth.
Considering his draft status, along with Payne, I think we're fine in the TE room (along with Otton).
I do agree with you though about leadership/mentorship.
I'm sure Licht/Arians can get them some time with the undisputed GOAT tight end, Gronk.
Once we resign Godwin we'll be fine at WR. Borderline elite.
Evans has one more elite season in him then we'll see the Vincent Jackson type twilight years where he's still a weapon but the production and snaps drop off.
Godwin has 4-5 more years in him.
McMillan obviously young.
Bring in some depth ala Sterling Shepard and we're good.
White and Bucky are an extension of the passing game and Otton/Payne/Culp are trending the right direction.
I want our draft to be all Defense unless a LG falls and we get some value.
Absolutely need to trade for a star defensive end. #1 priority. It will absolutely change the defense and we would be praising Todd bowles defense even with every single injury we had. Imagine our stellar def tackles being even better this year with less eyes on them. Sigh but we won't.
They need to get their next QB on the roster this offseason as this is the last season Baker will be the Buccaneers starting QB. My prediction looks like 2900 yards, 26 TD's 18 Int, 7 lost fumbles.

What does Trevor Lawrence's stat line have anything to do with this?
