Baker played like complete garbage, and is on pace for 51 TDs. Both can be true.
The defense won this game for us.
How does McLaughlin have just two misses all last season and completely choke out today.
Need to get our offense in gear quickly. Tough game coming up.
Bucs are at the top of the division right now as all other divisional foes lost.
Week 2 will be very interesting for the Bucs.
minor underdog 1.5 points
Texans desperate for a win
but most importantly a prime time game
can we shake the prime time game struggles? Ehh I’m glad Bowles didn’t give the team off tomorrow
That Texans O-Line looked BAD.
I mean, next level BAD.
The defense won this game for us.
The defense that allowed the go ahead score then let them march down from the 15 yard line to a 40 yard FG that we got lucky he missed?
The game was WON by the offense. The defense played well in spurts and kept us in it but down the stretch they yet again couldn't get a stop. Both of the last 2 drives.

Correct.
That being said, hope @theknees was talking shit all day at the game.

And one of those with some bad defensive penalties so not good
Winfield makes the play that wins us the game.
Those defensive penalties were charmin soft.
If we can survive Houston, we should be good.
So many Buc’s fans there today. Was great to see!

Undisciplined all day on both sides of the ball quite frankly. Really sloppy.
Better to win ugly than lose pretty

The defense made no plays down the stretch to win the game. The PI call was weak I agree but still...
I think as a team made some timely plays when needed to and also got some luck but a win on the road vs a good division team to open the season can be big thing down the road. Especially with the injuries and needing the backups to step up. Its ok to see the backups early in the season if they're stepping up when we need them. We will need them to do it if when healthy.
Oh yea the calls were weak to keep the dirty birds alive..
Good teams overcome BS. That is what you want to see.
good win, love winning tight games.
but ... no running game as we could assume and penix threw 300yds on our defense, definitely not good! still as expoected.
offense wasn't perfect but delivered when it was needed. egbuka has very high ceiling (but I had a feeling he played every single snap), if the rest stays healthy and wirfs and godwin come back as we know them we are winning this division with ease.
play calling ... I do not know, won't comment until I get bigger sample
It’s about talent. “Next man up” won’t work without it.

There was definitely a lot more shades of Dave, than there was of Liam.
Baker's IAY yesterday was nearly 40% higher than his average from last year, so albeit a limited sample size, there's proof that he has implemented more of the vertical game into this offense.
Last thing that stuck out to me was the amount of 1st down runs, and the scenarios in which they were called.
But, he's a rookie playcaller. He's going to need some time.
