I did one mock draft in which I traded Devin White for 2nd round pick. I also traded out of the first round twice. Ended up with 5 2nd round picks.
That would be pretty nice, to have all those picks and to have all those guys available.
That’s what I was thinking. I know it’s just a mock dream, but I’d take it. Attached were my last 4 picks. Doubled up on LB, added the Cincinnati TE, and grabbed Michigan kicker with last pick.
I've got a better idea. Fat Smitty is gone and Luke Goedeke is a bust in the making. Why not replace them with real studs. Trade Devin White for a second rounder. Stand pat at 19 and grab Anton Harrison from OU or Broderick Jones from UGA. Left tackle upgraded. Then wait until around the 29th pick and dangle those two second rounders to trade back up into the bottom of the first and grab O'Cyrus Torrence from UF. Left guard upgraded.
Roll with Mayfield and if he sucks (and likely will) put Trask in there. Chances are, you'll play lousy enough to grab Caleb Williams next year. And you'll have a line that can protect him already in place.
@buccanoler I wouldn’t hate it. Think Torrence is a RG, but definitely agree with the point. I’d be praying a talented ILB was still around in the 3rd, but I’d love it for the OL. I think a better option would be to just take a OG in the second, and take an ILB with the Devin pick.
I mean if we can get a second for white, you do it
I’m just skeptical of his trade value. What if it’s only a 4th or 5th? Then I almost rather keep him and deactivate if he chooses to not play.
keep him and expect a 3rd rd comp pickI mean if we can get a second for white, you do it

Zero point in trading him for anything less than a 3rd
Wonder if the Texans could be a trade partner for Devin? They have a ton of picks, ton of cap space, a new coach who wants to set the tone, a need for a ILB, and we have some recent trade history with them.
