I think if Robinson or Mathews falls to us at 7, which I believe one or the other probably will. We should snatch them up. This will make Penn's lazy arse expendable and we should cut him to give us more cap room. Then I say we take the best available OG in round 2 and drop Joseph too. This free's up nice cap space to go get a DE pass rusher (Jared Allen) and I think Macklin would make a nice slot home run threat we need. We can have our choice of Hester/Mccluster to handle KR/PR duties and provide depth at WR. Both make sense (Hester ties to Smith), (McCluster from Largo). This scenario does not land us a stud tight end that I think would open our offense up big time...but we cant get everything in one year. Thoughts?
I wouldn't mind a lineman at all.Jared Allen wants to go to a contender, so I think that rules the Bucs out. Sign Michael Johnson instead, better value. The Eagles seem to be warming up to the idea of keeping Maclin. And they will let Cooper walk.McCluster all the way. He is only 25. Hester is 31.There are several good TE's in this draft class. Or sign Pitta. [sp?]
As much as it sucks 3 teams with the same record as us are drafting before us, at 7 our options should still be pretty good.
There is no question that if we stick at 7 there will be a hell of a talent to be picked this year.Using cbs sports ranking (I just picked one) They ONLY guy I don't think is worth consideration at 7 of the common top 10 guys is Manziel. Big disappointment if we go there...I'd pick Donald, Ford, Ealy, Dennard, Ebron before I'd pick JM. JMHO.
Mack just posted a 40" vertical... good lawd
