Sterling Moore Making Most Of OpportunityMatt Stein  Sports Talk FloridaNov 19, 2015 Sterling_Zpsod82B8Vn.pngvideo linkTwo weeks ago Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith decided to give Sterling Moore a starting role at cornerback, and it might have been one of the best decisions he's made this season.Moore and Jude Adjei-Barimah have played much better than the guys they replaced - Johnthan Banks and Mike Jenkins - and have been a key part of the team playing their best ball of the season.Moore said Wednesday that he and Jude are just trying to make the most of this opportunity. After all, they don't have much to lose considering they've already come off the bench this season."I think we both have the attitude that we're both undrafted guys and we both weren't playing at one time, so we just want to go out there and ball," he said. "We've already not played. If you go back to not playing, we've already been there, so we're just going out there and being football players."The road to getting to where he is now as a Buccaneer hasn't been easy, though, especially being forced to sit knowing how much he could impact the team."It was tough, to be honest with you. But I just went out there every day, I competed hard in practice and showed what I can do. When my time came I just wanted to capitalize on it."He has also noticed a growing faith in his ability from not only the coaching staff, but his teammates as well."To me it was more so the guys in this locker room they had a lot more confidence in me and my abilities. They said, 'This is a big test but you're up for it. Just go out there and play your game.' It meant a lot more to me that the guys in this locker room were confident in me."Stering Moore didn't necessarily have big shoes to fill with the disappointing play of the guys he replaced, but he's certainly having no problem doing so and maybe even exceeding what was expected of him.
