Allie Sherman replaced Vince Lombardi as the NY Giant's OC when he left for the frozen tundra of Green Bay in 1959, then took over as HC in 1960. From 1961 to 1963, he took the Giants to the NFL championship, but lost in '61 and '62 to Lombardi's Packers, and to the Bears in '63.
