One thing that really stands out about this team is just how PROFOUNDLY mediocre it is. Everything I see, everywhere I look, with the exception of a couple of brights spots, is pure mediocrity. From coaching down to players, this team is just about as mediocre as it can be.
Unless things get turned around, and turned around in a hurry, we're staring down the barrel of another 7-9. 8-8, or 9-7 campaign at the very, very best.
Not only that, but I'm not at all convinced that the right people are in place to actually turn this thing around with any amount of expediency. I'm sorry, but that's how I feel about this team right now and I would absolutely love to be dead wrong.
I have no confidence -- at all. Hopefulness? Yes. Confidence. None. My greatest fear is that Glazers may have screwed the pooch again, having learned nothing from their Raheem Morris mistake and that this team is bound for another three seasons of underachieving, lackluster, middle-of-the pack play.
Sorry again.
