You’re not way off. Our next 6 games are a tough stretch. And that’s why it was even more important to get to 3 and 0 after the Lions win. That’s also why it’s important that we don’t look past the Eagles game to the Falcons. We can’t sit Vea if he’s 80%. He’s gotta play to win.

Wirfs is good but he’s not great. He’s not a mauling run blocker and lately he’s allowed too many pressures and sacks going back to the last 5 or 6 games last year.

We will not beat KC or San Fran… and Im not sure Bowles will be able to slow down Baltimore or Dallas. That means we have to go at least 4 and 2 in the division, and I still don’t see how we get to 10 wins.

Much of it goes back to what I said would hold us back this year… and that is lack of edge talent. Our defense will have a tough time playing consistently well without pressure from our front four.

If we don’t run block, and we can only pass block, sometimes…you’re going to have problems with good defenses.

On the defense - if we can’t get to the QB with an edge rush - then we better be able to set the edge and stop the run up the middle. We are built that way, but not since game 1.

If we can’t stop Saquan, and we don’t  contain Hurts, it’s going to be another long game.

The good thing is that we may be getting some of our wounded, back - and the Iggles are a little dinged up. So, I think we have a fighting chance. Enough of chance to keep me interested. In fact, I think we win this one.

I don’t believe our run is that over, but we need our full roster back for this stretch.

I dont know that we have it in us, but the game sets up perfectly for having the Bucs running game grind out a possession win.  Would love to see us get an early lead

Yea the brakes definitely need to be pumped.  We handled Washington pretty convinvingly, hung around and beat our nemesis from the old Norse division (Lions) and yes we lost to a winless Bronco team BUUUUT...you can't not take into account Sean Payton who has always been a thorn in our side, he is an offensive mastermind and we knew he'd have Nix coached up.  Granted we shit the bed in epic fashion from coaching to individual players, but we're sitting tied at the top of our division and there's still a lot of football to be played for every team.  A lot could happen over the next few weeks as it pertains to other teams and injuries(not wishing that on anyone but you never know).... All that our coaches and players can control is their play and coaching.  Wirfs isnt dominating like he was at RT but will settle in( he's only played one season and 3 games at LT) Too early to talk about Braswell, remember Ya-Ya hadnt event started seeing the field last year by game 3, and speaking of Ya-Ya I feel like he is still suffering some of the lingering effects of his preseason injury.  I will put Mike Evans lack of production thus far squarely on Cohen and Baker...3 looks last week is inexcusable! On a positive note it  looks like Vea and Goedeke will be back this week so that will be a HUGE boost....settle in Bucs fans, it's a long season that we're just getting started.

Our reign at the top of the South is over. If you look at our schedule I see only 8 wins max. I'm guessing 7-10. Our team is not deep enough to withstand injuries either and that's part of the reason we go nowhere this season.

If Denver can take us to the woodshed imagine what real teams like KC, Philly, Baltimore, SanFran, Dallas, Atlanta and even New Orleans can do to us. By the eye test Atlanta is clearly better than us and so is New Orleans.

No pass rush with terrible D-Line. Braswell was a terrible draft pick, Shoyinka is average, Yaya is bad even though I thought he would have a great year. Philly will run all over us this weekend

No run game with terrible O-Line. One guy goes down and our line can't block my grandma. Just pathetic and Wirfs needs to take responsibility for his horrendous play so far. He gets paid and all of a sudden can't block no name DE"s. Wirfs is overrated. If he was so good why can't we run on the left side? He should be a mauler, but he's not.

Mike Evans. I love Mike, but it's time to stop babying him. I've never seen a receiver that's supposed to be one of the best have to go sit on the sideline after every catch. It's like every catch is a struggle with him. Toughen up Mike. This team needs you.

Cohen. I haven't seen anything good since the first game. What happened to the supposed genius play calling? A great coordinator calls plays that lessens the load on a porous O-Line. I haven't seen any of that.

  • I love my Bucs, but reality is reality. We just aren't that good.

LOL...this didn't last long....And they still won....Never give up!!! Go Buc's!!

Don’t worry the poster will come back with our next loss

Bucs are 3-1 when most would have expected 2-2 through 4 weeks. It’s a shame we didn’t capitalize on the broncos but good to see the team bounce back and demolish the eagles

we can really create some separation in the division if we win Thursday but if we lose, just need to beat saints next week

and the way we won today too

Scored on 1st drive, got up on them early by stopping their early drives and scoring more.  Came out to play.  Stark contrast to the Broncos game.

TWO running backs playing really well

Six sacks, maybe?

We honestly can be as good as we want to be. If we bring what brady called his "Brady Stress" "champion mentality" for teams liek the Broncos like we do for the Lions we get 13+wins. if we take it for granted when its 26 weeks when ya got another 26 weeks of free time well, thats when we play like we did vs the broncos. We do still need a pass rush if we want to make it to the superbowl

I’m still in a pump the brakes mentality. This was a nice win, but they were down some offensive stars - and still almost put a comeback together.

We took a step back and re-grouped - still have some things to clean up.

And consistency.

Youmight be hitting on a critical difference of the many differences between Brady and Mayfield.

Just using todays game as an example, Mayfield's play was pretty fantastic until they had the lead and then it seemed to dip.

And then if you go to the Broncos game, Mayfield's play is the most obvious reason for getting behind early.

Maybe Mayfield is at his very best when the game is on the line, but not very good when it is not? Not sure

Loved hearing Brady’s coaching notes on some specific Baker mechanics/delivery/etc., during the game. I thought Tom did a better job this week than the last game I watched that he called… but thought the “beef” was spot on, but a little too heavy-handed on the delivery.

You may be on to something about Baker, he definitely plays better when there’s a chip on his shoulder -

Would love to have heard the network pre-production meeting with Tom Brady and Baker Mayfield…

they were down smith brown & lane Johnson. 3 key players.

we were down kancey awj goedeke. 3 key players as well.

every nfl team needs the “next man up” mentality. Very rarely is a team at 100% at any point during the year.

Thats why depth is so important. Imagine our receivers without Godwin and Evans. Would be rough.

3-1 with a chance to be 5-1 and 2-0 in the division? I’ll take it. I’d happily take a split vs NO and atl both on the road. Unlikely awj or kancey will be ready Thursday but hopefully one or both are! Goedeke has a good chance imho.
