Like almost everyone I thought all defensive draft and if you look back there are some interesting reactions to picking Egbuka lol. There was a thread though about hypothetically picking on offense in the \1st round and in that thread . . .
If we do surprise pick offense..egbuke looks like a pro to me and i like him as #1 wr. Would we take membou or bama guard as bpa...doubt it ..but would be entertaining
I am sure the Seahawks would be tempted to grab him and team him up with JSN and Kupp. But if he slips to the Bucs might have to think it over.
So one poster calling it and another agreeing that he might be an option. Well done!!
Either way, Egbuka's first game speaks volumes about Licht and his staff, especially with Godwin out. Hope he keeps it going. Opposing defense probably adjusting some now. Evans used as a decoy on both passes, I think? And Evans was still 5 of 50 . . . look out if teams start sliding to Egbuka. Evans is going to have one of his 100+, 2 TD games.
Get the run game going and WOW.

Mayfield . .
"I’ve told you guys, it wasn’t a front,” Mayfield said. “You saw it live today, in person. He’s the real deal. True professional.
“Doesn’t play like a rookie. Doesn’t act like a rookie. His head is never spinning.
“He made some unbelievable catches and plays today for us. Obviously, [the Bucs are] going to continue to lean on him. Hopefully, we can draw some more coverage towards him, and Mike [Evans] gets the ball again
Evans . .
“Right before he caught that last touchdown, he like called it,” Evans said of Egbuka. “He wanted a post route. He said, ‘I’m about to game one.’
“We were in the huddle and [Egbuka] said we need to run this certain play and I’m going to game [the cornerback],” Evans said. “And I was just like, ‘Maybe we do need to run it.’ And then literally he runs the post and touchdown, next play.”
It was a great call by Grizzard. He ran the same play earlier but the ball got to Mike Evans over the middle. All game their safety was coming down trying to take away the MOF. Great recognition by the OC to realize that and hit them over the top - which we didn't do all game.
McMillan had a knack for attacking the boundary downfield last season, and Egbuka between the seems is going to be a terror. Godiwn when he returns can do his work underneath and then you have the legendary Evans.
I am sure Grizzard will clean some things up and rev up a bit with some play calling and play design as they progress through the season.
He's certainly won me over already!

Even more important with McMillian and Godwin out
Evans - Godwin - Egbuka will make some sort of three-headed monster out there. It will be hard to stop.

"Egbuka is just the second player since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger to catch a game-winning touchdown pass in the final minute of regulation or overtime in his first career game"
