I think the Bucs Jason Licht really did his homework with several of these picks. Also, it seems the team is finally bringing in players that not only fit the schemes they are currently running but also some added wrinkles.
Round 1: WR Egbuka
Clearly the Bucs had a high value on him and probably see him more than just a high end starter.
Round 2: CB Morrison
Ballhawking DB that can play in man or zone with ease. Morrison can live on the hips of opposing receivers like glue or be asked to play in space and attack the football. So being able to play m2m or off coverage makes this a home run pick on the boundary.
Round 3: CB Parrish
Can play man like Morrison but he is very active attacking the football with pass deflections which makes him an ideal nickel if he is asked to play in zone.
Round 4: EDGE Walker
Ultra disruptive and opportunistic edge that brings an element the team does not have with the pass rushing game along with Reddick. Walker and Reddick will compliment Diaby, Nelson and Braswell very well which forms a solid 5 EDGE group.
Round 5: DL Roberts
Bowles' new joker that could probably play in many places but I think they start him to play on the inside behind Kancey and rotating with him. Being able to be a stand up rushers gives him added value too.
Round 7: WR Johnson
Probably the only perplexing selection for the Bucs but I am okay if the Bucs stash him on the PS for a bit allow him to compete in 2026 for a roster spot. Right now Johnson has stiff competition with Palmer, C. Johnson, Jarrett, Miller, Shepard, Callaway and Knue.
Overall I would say this is an A draft for Licht and a sneaky good one for him.
Solid write up. I really like the pickup of Shilo Sanders too
Good write up. We’ll see about the grade after the year is over. DL in the 4th and 5th rounds don’t normally thrive… if they even get snaps during their rookie season. I do like that we got corners that can play m2m and zone. Hopefully that means Bowles will throw in a little more man defense. I’ve also been asking them to bring in corners for the nickel spot. This is a good direction. We’ll see how the Barron, EZ, Green players end up.
It is my hope that he is just like his Dad
Shilo Sanders has signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he was not drafted. Instead, he signed with the team as an undrafted free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft. Here are some details about Shilo Sanders and his move to the Buccaneers:
Undrafted Free Agent: Despite not being selected in the NFL Draft, Sanders became a free agent and was able to sign with any team.
Signing with Tampa Bay: Reports emerged shortly after the draft concluded that Sanders was signing with the Buccaneers.
College Career: Sanders played college football at three different schools: South Carolina, Jackson State, and Colorado. He played under his father, Deion Sanders, at both Jackson State and Colorado. Over his college career, he recorded 229 tackles, six interceptions, 13 pass breakups, and seven forced fumbles.
Contract Details: While specific financial terms haven't been widely publicized, it has been reported that he is getting a $200,000 contract from Tampa Bay. This suggests the Buccaneers see potential in him to make the roster.
Opportunity: Signing as an undrafted free agent means Sanders will need to compete to make the Buccaneers' final roster. However, the team's need for safety depth could provide him with a legitimate shot.
I think Tez Johnson is the writing on the wall that the Trey Palmer experiment is all but over. Only a 7th round pick so it will be a training camp battle.
I like al the picks, but there was no inside linebacker. So we'll be a little short handed at that spot. I wonder if the Bucs had Bassa targeted before the Chiefs traded in front of them.
I REALLY wanted Bassa, thought he would of been a fantastic add. I hated the Chiefs enough already
Bassa was a liability for the Ducks. Wasn't interested. I'm more annoyed we didn't go after Chris Paul when we had the chance
Agree on both parts of this statement - but the David Walker & Elijah Roberts picks were pretty interesting.Bassa was a liability for the Ducks. Wasn't interested. I'm more annoyed we didn't go after Chris Paul when we had the chance

I'm not well informed enough on these two prospects but I'm sure they'll provide solid depth.
Would have much preferred Paul.
I like all of the picks and think at worse they will all be solid to good. Would've gone in a couple different directions and chosen Xavier Watts over Parish and kept Tykee at nickel back.
The most questions I would have is on the 4th rounder Walker. 25 year in his rookie year against bad compensation with 31 inch arms. He is up against it based off all that. I would've gone Bradyn Swinson personally. Younger, more proven, better athletic profile. We will see that develops over time.
Getting Roberts in the 5th was great. Finally someone who can offer some inside juice besides Kancey. Getting Gaines off the field for some snaps is a plus. Tez bit of a wildcard in the 7th.
Early grade is a B+ to A-. Didn't address glaring safety (lots of good safeties in this draft) or LB depth holes so can't give it an A or an A+.
By drafting Parrish they can move T. Smith to safety and also move Hayes back to safety with the drafting of Morrison. Plus, the team is still high on Izien, Merriweather, Banks and Wisdom.
Safety is pretty much set from what the Bucs have done so far this off season.
Shilo could be a demon on STs. I don't think hes as terrible as people think. He created a high amount of turnovers in Colorado.
I liked the draft for the most part. I thought we would address ILB at some point but they must be confident in what they already have.
I just know Bassa from the other side of the field…he may be very good, just not a good scheme fit.Agree on both parts of this statement - but the David Walker & Elijah Roberts picks were pretty interesting.Bassa was a liability for the Ducks. Only know Paul from numerous/endless analysis, mocks & sims…I sometimes think that qualifies as draft research… it’s not… but the trusted sources I watched, indicated that Paul did seem a good scheme fit.
I would have liked several other (earlier) coverage ILB options, but we got what we got and I feel pretty good about it.
Bassa was so damn lost all season dude. Could be Ducks coaching I guess but he isn't a natural LB. He was recruited as a safety.
Not drafting Paul is the one major second guessing I have of Licht for this draft
Great job by licht and team again. I think last year's draft was an a. I think this one we will have to kind of wait and see but I like it.
