hard to imagine a WORSE job and a terrible fit for Canales specifically BUT theres risk in just passing an opportunity by.
Greenberg also requested, I think
Bickering aside, I hope Canales doesn’t get the job
would like to see how year 2 goes with him
Offense looks much better this year than last year.
id think the 2023 Bucs would beat the 2022 Bucs.
Offense looks much better this year than last year.
No shit. I wonder why.
What do you think the stat line on Baker would look like if he played here last year under the same circumstances?

the right answer is a number of reasons. Your tone is of that its due to one reason and it can be a number of reasons
1. Canales better than Leftwich
2. Mayfield playing better than Brady '22, particularly behind this offensive line
3. Offensive line playing better although the run blocking still ehh
4. White performing better than Lenny
5. Mayfield and Evans having good chemistry

Of course it's not due to one single reason. But, there's definitely some reasons that weigh more heavenly than others.
I see you avoided the question, so I'll ask again.

more passing yards, more INTs, same TDs
i don’t think materially different but Canales does run more than leftwich did which just as shit results. 10 yards per game better with more attempts. We were 31st this year in yards versus 32 last year on 23 in attempts and 32 last year. So more passing attempts last year.
Being a Brady bro, I was blaming Lefty all year but Brady also took a step back.
that being said, guys like mayfield geno smith Daniel jones could only dream to match Brady’s worse year because thats good enough for an extension on most teams
Guys like Brady, rodgers mahomes held to different standards as generational talents
Why do you guys always assume a bad play is Baker checking into it when there's basically no way you can know that? Even with the All 22.
Baker could be flipping the run play, changing the blocking, choosing a different run play, playing chess with the LBs to make them think he's changing it, or whatever... you cannot know that Baker checked into a stretch run from a pass just because he gestured before the play started.

Baker Bros gonna bake!

somehow someway baker mayfield is at fault for the civil unrest in the Middle East

That’s how football works. The QB has the responsibility of changing the play, good and bad. It’s not my fault that you guys have blamed the playcaller for specific plays that the QB changed.
Nobody is blaming Mayfield for the unforgivable screen that was called, yes? You see how that works?
more passing yards, more INTs, same TDs
Lol.
Yeah, we'll agree to disagree on that one.
He wouldn't have the QB-friendly scheme he has now. He'd have to deal with more tight window throws, relying on the deep ball (he's absolute trash at that this year), with a clueless OC.
If had to bet money, I'd say he'd be in the 3,800-4,000 range for yards, 23-25 TD's, and 20-23 INT's, with a completion percentage somewhere between 58-60%.

Nobody is defending Baker's play vs Carolina. Zero.

I'm not sure that even Mahomes could excel in Lefty's offense last year
