1) Getting kick off of Syracuse.Suspended only once, for academics.2) Reportedly showing up late/missing meetings.Yes that was "reported" by unnamed sources and NOT confirmed by the team.3) PR's story wherein the previous regime was getting close to releasing/trading himInstead the previous regime was fired.4) This story about tons of partying (that sounds excessive even for a rich, young man)Was he there for these parties? Either way not usual for a party to get out of hand.5) Charged with damaging a woman's door & misdemeanor chargesDamaging the door IS the MISDEMEANOR CHARGE, NOT A CONVICTION.6) He sucked in 2013 and was out of shape. He was injured and tried to play through it. I suppose you want to complain about that too.7) New coach and GM express strong displeasure with WilliamsThey aren't happy about what they've heard and have said so. This stuff about expressing a strong displeasure is more drama you insist on creating.
Thank you for this.
You're welcome. The pitchfork crew is in full swing in this thread. I hope MW gets his priorities in order, regains his health and productive ways.
He seems like a really nice guy when you meet him.
Scott mentioned how much he enjoyed talking to him in his hit piece. What I've heard from him on the radio, he comes off as a happy-go-lucky kind of guy. He pretty obviously has some maturity issues. I am willing to forgive much provided it is nonviolent. Mike seems like the kind of personality who could greatly benefit from having Lovie Smith as his head coach. That's what it seems to me we're talking about here imo, refocusing what from almost all reports is a good guy. If he was a bigger cap number this season, I would at least entertain thoughts of his dismissal (once we'd signed and/or drafted 3 quality receivers). The way his contract is structured, thoughts of parting ways with him now from what we know are insane imo. If he doesn't shape up it's pretty clear this will be his last season in Tampa, but he doesn't appear to be a menace to anything other then peace and quiet. Some of you seem to take it personally when rich black athletes squander money they don't deserve in your eyes.
yea, Mike Williams appears to be a victim of circumstance - lots of damned circumstanceBlue font is for sarcasm...
Blue font is for snide remark.
That can't be true - I haven't yet seen such font in the Cove
We interrupt this pillow fight to bring you a special bulletin..........Coach Lovie Smith and GM Jason Licht have both made direct remarks indicating Williams' off-the-field antics won't be tolerated. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming............
But why would they say that ? It's no big deal right ?
The Bucs and NFL are a brand and you have to protect the brand. MW is creating negative publicity with an already fully pitchforked fan base. You'd be an absolute moron to get in trouble here in Tampa right now. Moron.

If he don't ball. If he do, bet we don't hear a peep (whether he's partying on Friday night, tearing up rental properties, or other immature much ado about nothings). Really, that's the only reason any of these stories hit the media to begin with. That's how I read the coach and gm comments as well. "Don't let your personal life get in the way of your on field performance." How long did Scott sit on his information? How long has Mike been out of that rental in the Sanctuary? As many people stated when the PR story came out, this is not and has not been news to anyone who even lightly follows Mike on social media. He hasn't been cleverly hiding his immaturity until he got paid. We paid an immature (but basically agreeable) young man a lot of money because he plays football well. It wasn't a get out of town problem before, and won't be in the future if Mike Williams gets back to playing football on the field at an acceptably high level.

Exactly! I just want to see MW live up to his contract and could care less what he does off the field that as long as it doesn't drag the BUCS organization through the mud.

My point would also be there's been very little "real" mud dragging with Mike. Ray Rice knocking his chick the fuck out (what ever the situation) is way more of a black eye then any (or all put together) of the stuff Mike's gotten into (that we know of). I think that's why some are claiming sensationalism. Yeah, we wouldn't take all his stupid little stuff from the 48th guy on the roster. There would be no reason, the 48th guy is too easily replaceable. Mike Williams is not easily replaceable. Even less so given his contract situation. That his play slid down more toward replaceable brings the stupid little stuff more into focus.

He and his wife just had a little one awhile back, So now its 3 kids total. Usually that would settle a guy down. But I guess Mike has not reached that level yet.

Because we all know football breeds brains over brawn.
