This completely. Glazers say that Schiano is safe. Schiano says he loves Tampa and wants to stay in the NFL........ buuuut his heart is telling him to take his dream job at Penn State. The Glazers and Schiano shake hands in front of a camera and nobody has egg on their face. Schiano never got fired, Glazers don't have the stigma of firing too many coaches, the Glazers don't have to pay out Schiano's contract- it really is a win for everybody.The Glazers are smart people even if they aren't "football minds". They know there is a funk on Schiano right now that needs addressed. They also know it isn't all his fault. This situation couldn't be more perfect for everyone.
There's no "win" scenario for the Bucs if they change coaches, perception-wise. They can't worry about that, though. If they decide to move on, just do it and find the best guy possible without worrying about how it looks.
