While their have been many big Buc-Eagles games...Bucs 1st playoff win ever in 79, the Championship Game, Joe Jurevicious' (sp) great TD catches to open up Lincoln field in '03, and Rhonde Barber's 2 TDs along with a 63 yd game winner for K Bryant in '06, thought I'd share a fun memory from a little remembered game in 1991.The game was a dud until the fourth quarter, with a 0-0 halftime score and Tampa winning the game on a blocked punt and Chris Chandler's last-minute TD following getting the ensuing punt at midfield. What I remember most about the game however, was not only was it "Doug Williams" day at Tampa Stadium (Doug came back to Tampa for the first time since leaving), but Buccaneers coach Richard Williamson actually hired a voodoo priest to come in before the game to remove the curse Williams left. To see it on television was surreal, funny and somehow fitting all at the same time. While it didn't work...Williamson was rightfully fired at the end of 3-13 season, how many teams can say they've hired a voodoo priest to come in and help change their fortunes?! Anyway, just some Buc-Eagle trivia I thought some might enjoy hearing.
