The only right calls that Dominik and Schiano have made are Freeman and Winslow. Talib, Bennett and Miller should have never been let go.
Sorry man, I gotta disagree with this...Freeman, Winslow, Talib, and Miller were good calls. Miller was a really good guy in the middle, but I think he and Spence are almost on the same level...the rest...they are straight punksBennett really baffles me...I guess Dom and Schiano didn't have any faith in Bennett's shoulder holding up.
I do not believe for a second that Schiano wanted to go into this season relying on Bowers as a starter.
Why is that? Schiano said that he expected Bowers to have 10+ sacks this season. Dominik has no problems throwing cash at Buccaneer players, and PR reported that the team wanted "bigger" DE's like Bowers. That's coming from the coaching staff.
I am stunned Talib is still being overrated by this fanbase.
Why? Casual fans are casual fans, but I think a lot of that comes from how bad our CB play was last season
Talib was apart of that bad CB play from last season.

Why is that?
Because nothing is Schiano's fault according to Von Mises. It was either Freeman, MRSA, Dom, too many injuries, fans, etc.

I Bowers was the one who actually put a number on himself.
Bennett wasn't worth a long term deal. Guys like this have a history of shutting it down once they get paid. RedBoard saviors like Haynesworth and Ray Edwards are examples. And he wasn't going to take a 1 year deal here.

“He’s a tremendous athlete for a man his size,” Schiano said. “He’s explosive and he’s done it. It’s our job to make him do it consistently. When he hurt his Achilles, it changed his body. Rather than being negative, he got in with our strength staff and changed his body. I think he’s prepared to take the next step.”Does that include becoming a double-digit sacker in 2013?“He needs to be,” Schiano said. “He should be. That’s why we drafted him.”-March 20
I hope you guys aren't thinking his numbers would be the same in schiano's systemThey would probably look like clayborn's or dtn, maybe slightly better.

How mahy sacks did Bennett have in Schiano's system last season?
I'm so damned gullible, I fall for coachspeak every time! For the love of baby Jesus...

Come on when Schiano is wrong it's just coach speak. When he's right, he's right.
The way that Bennett talked about Schiano, there's no way that he would have resigned with us,
Does that include becoming a double-digit sacker in 2013?“He needs to be,” Schiano said.___________Can someone point out the hidden proclamation of greatness here? He does need to be. He sure as hell should be for where we drafted him.

So then answer the question, Ill. Why do you believe Coach Schiano didn't want to go into this season with Bowers as a starter? Do you have anything other than warm fuzzy feelings about it?And the obvious follow up - who did Schaino want as the starter? He got his first round Safety. He got big his FA Safety. He got his lock-down, $96M cornerback. He got a lot of things. Why couldn't he get his DE?

Apparently.
"So then answer the question, Ill. Why do you believe Coach Schiano didn't want to go into this season with Bowers as a starter? Do you have anything other than warm fuzzy feelings about it?"Because he's the guy who would have seen him in practice every day, and knew exactly what Bowers was all about. "And the obvious follow up - who did Schaino want as the starter? He got his first round Safety. He got big his FA Safety. He got his lock-down, $96M cornerback. He got a lot of things. Why couldn't he get his DE?"I have no idea who he wanted, I'm not clairvoyant. You pretty much answered the rest of your questions, though. Resources are not unlimited, and you cannot address so many needs in a single season.
