You know when half the fans wanted Schiano's head on a platter and half the fans were saying "but the players still play hard" and "he hasn't lost the locker room" and many, like myself tried to explain that these things were a credit to our players and not the coaches? And that even if they hate the guy, it is their professional obligation to publicly support their current regime? Well here is McCoy from a radio show today.“I think a fresh start was needed,” said of the hire of Lovie Smith.McCoy went on to say a lot of the Bucs’ 2013 troubles were out of Greg Schiano’s control, but of his Bucs teammates, McCoy said, “Everybody I talked to was happy” about the coaching change."Then you have Clayborn and Bowers tweeting less than positive things about Schiano. I think it is pretty obvious now that the players did indeed have enough of Schiano and were ready for better coaching. This isn't a "told you so" as much as it is a remember this next time we are in the same situation and the players are defending a bad coach. It is their duty and it means nothing.
Schiano was close to turning the corner as an NFL head coach but he couldn't make the leap.1. Speed - Let the D-line flow down hill and the quickest paths to the QB. Pro QB's have fast releases and the spread is more popular now.2. Use personnel wisely3. Half time adjustments
Honestly, I'm just glad he's gone JDub. At least we have the draft to look forward to now. I never bought the whole "but their playing hard for him" nonsense either.

wow, what does that say about Raheem Morris?
But but but the players loved schiano. They fought for him until the very end. He was so close to turning it around......lol.
it was pretty evident that regardless of coaching we had a good, physical team. Our coaches were just at a complete loss as to how to win a game.
Bryan Cox going to Miami?
Nothing against Schiano as a person, but he wasn't a good game day coach, at least at the NFL level. He had a plan that worked at the college level and felt strongly that it would work on the NFL level. It didn't and he wasn't flexible enough, soon enough, to make that change. This team will be better off without him, I honestly believe that.
The only thing Schiano was close to right about was player conditioning. Other than that he was just a terrible coach. He's a drill sergeant in a game that requires a general.
What did I tell you guys about Revis and his words with S?I was right all along. Just wanted to remind you clowns who thought Revis wasn't ever upset...suck it!It is all coach speak/player speak. It was so blatantly obvious that S was a turd of a coach, and some of you guys thought I was making up some radical new-wave conspiracy...S is gone, players are chirping...Boid wins. And screw Schiano. He was a lousy fricken coach.

I'm sure most of the players didn't like Schiano too much, but these kinds of statements don't mean much. Players generally say whatever direction the team is going in is a good direction.
Not sure if thats proof exactly

Thanks!I just find it funny that people were insistent that these players liked S. BA HA HA HA!Boid Wins!

I think this is the most accurate and succinct description of Greg Schiano I have ever read or heard.
