I think we did pick up a good blocking TE already.

The only TE who is a great receiver and also a great blocker is V. Davis. The rest of them suck at blocking. Jimmy Graham for instance couldn't block his way out of a wet paper bag. Doesn't really matter though because all they are really asked to do is chip someone to slow them down before they get out into their pass pattern.

Why not move him back to WR? He's never going to be anything special as a blocker. Fill the need at WR and find better options at TE.  220 lbs is too small for a TE but good for a WR. It seems like the obvious solution to two problems.

No.. Let him be a mismatch problem at TE. I'm sure he'll weigh more than 220 next season.

He supposedly is up to 235lbs now. The problem with making him a WR is that he was too slow to be drafted as a WR. At 220lbs he ran a 4.7 forty....imagine what his forty time is now at 235lbs. He's not going to beat DBs like he does LBs. TE is the only spot for him. He just has to keep adding muscle and get to that 245lbs range without getting any slower than he already is. He's adding a lot of weight, but with a good NFL trainer he could actually get faster if he adds the muscle in his legs, gluteus, and core. Time will tell.....but if he succeeds in the NFL it will be as a TE.

Tim has done well. Our picks will determine what kind of offense we run, in regards to getting a TE.  In regards to ASJ, I think the patriots get him.  I don't know what kind of contract situation Gronk is in but you have to believe that the patriots will be moving on from the mountain of glass a lot sooner than later..

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Also wouldn't surprise me to see the Seahawks grab ASJ with the last pick of the 1st round if he makes it that far. He may be projected as a 2nd round guy, and I have dreams of getting him in the 2nd round....but in reality I don't think he makes it out of the 1st round. Not sure id Amaro will either.Be great if we could pull another 2012. Trade back a dew spots in the first for a 3rd, then use that 3rd to move around a little, including a move from 2nd to late first for ASJ.

The article is wrong ....220 was his college wr weight. He got up to 235 this season to play TE in the NFL , according to him .

Yeah man it would be nice to move around in the draft like that.  And wow!, I forgot about Seattle could take him also.  Man a lot to think about, what do we do with that 7?!?!......hahaha

Like Mic said, he seems to have the "want to" and that is really the biggest thing when it comes to blocking.  It's not exactly advanced calculus.  And people seem to gloss over that the guys who are considered the "well rounded" top TE aren't exactly stellar blockers anyway, they are "good enough" that you can run with them.

Well if you are a receiving threat like Jimmy Graham or Gonzalez or Gronk or Vernon Davis or even Winslow....you don't have to be a good blocker. I'm pretty sure we can all agree that Wright isn't that kinda special though....so he'll need to figure out how to be at least an average blocker.

Luke Stocker has done neither and he's managed to stay on this roster for years
